Sadly the Zombie Z was stolen recently, if you see it for sale, let me know. I'd like to catch the guy who has it.

That is a shame. Your Zombie Z is one of my favorites on this site. What a loss.

Re: Abu spool question

It is the one after that. Well either way it threw pretty far and would free spool like crazy. Other than that is was pure trash though, a SilverMax or BlackMax was way more smooth and tight built. You could tell the reel I referenced was dated and made at almost a disposable level. The cheap build...

Re: Post purple

So maybe I am behind, but I am the kind of person who finds out what I don't know even if it is embarrassing... So why are those guides that way? It seems like that would destroy casting distance, but I remember some other company releasing FW rods like that too. I understood for saltwater where yo...

Re: Abu spool question

Is it this reel? https://goo.gl/images/VLomDR Not sure if it will bring the picture here, but I found one of these in my father's garage on a Gander MTN rod (green on green). Ended up being a reel from my stepmother's early marriage where she lost her husband. He must have kept things very clean, b...

Re: Abu spool question

I don't think so. You would need to see if a Black Max spool is the same dimensions as the Extreme spool. Any pics of the super tuned Extreme? I have a lot of respect for that platform. A lot of guys bought those and are still fishing them hard. I have the big version on that reel with aluminum side...

Nice. I regret not buying those the few times I've seen those knobs for sale here. I try to stay away from the classifieds there is too much awesome stuff at great prices.

Re: Best All Around Reel: Chron. MGL / Cur. v Tat sv / Zil sv

If skipping is a priority then no centrifugal Shimano is going to hold a candle to a Daiwa let alone an SV spool Daiwa. If skipping is not a priority both the Curado K and Chronarch MGL are great reels by all accounts. If you have skipping covered with the SV Daiwas then why not try a Curado K? For ...

I think the frame and side plates are proprietary to 13 but made by Banax with Banax parts.

Re: Long distance spool for sv103

I ordered an Daiwa SLP Works Deep Spool 36mm for a TD-Z100ML from buyee.jp, but when it came in it was a 34mm spoon in a 36mm package. I've started the return process but I may just hang on to it for SV of OG Steez use. It's a fixed inducter 16g with bearing, but other than that don't know much abo...
