Re: Coastal SV Review

Well the real usage will have to wait for 2 more weeks, the trout didn't cooperate with this reel and all were caught on my alphas. Good old Alphas. My 1st enthusiast tier reel. I still have a big soft spot for those reels. https://i.postimg.cc/hv0qrcCs/Screenshot-20190815-173917-Chrome.jpg

Re: Fuego CT for finesse?

A Fuego CT and one of the Ray's spools make for a dirt cheap finesse reel. If you go with the Long Cast Ray's spool you will get a little more capacity and versatility out of the setup.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

From 2 years ago. I caught this on a ned rig thrown on a Volkey 68L BFS and Silver Mica Pixy with Airy Red spool. 20# high vis Suffix Performance braid with 8# Big Game leader. It was fun. https://i.postimg.cc/8CzbcxTh/1564985525087.jpg Another odd catch. A barred Musky around maybe 40 inches at bes...

Re: Revo3 IB Fantasista Deez IVCB

Beautiful setup and great with some ABU love. What do you use it for? Thanks I've always wanted to do an Abu build. There are a ton of parts for these reels. I've fished the rod but not the reel yet. I've used the rod to 1/8 oz jig heads and 4 inch yum swiming dingers. I'll end up using the rod and...

Revo3 IB Fantasista Deez IVCB

JDM Revo 3 Elite IB7 converted from Doyo dual brake to IVCB with blue parts on a JDM Fantasista Deez FDNC 70MMH (ML?) rod rated 3/32-1/2. The reel has dual aluminum side plates and a drag clicker. Spool and cc knob are from a Deez kit for Revo3. Handle and knobs are Ray's Studio. Engine plate and sc...

Re: Wanting to customize Tat SV

That Daiwa purple is a weird shade. Only Daiwa SLP color parts seem to match it. The purple on the Hyuga rods is a dead match though. I have my tat SV on a Hyuga 72H and it looks like it was made for it. Same with my SS SV105.

I learned something here. I never would have thought this could happen. I'll definitely be more mindful in the future.

Re: ICAST 2019

Hey E73Bass. Where is the new Zillion CT. Did your source screw up and say CT instead of HD  or is the reel coming out at a later date. Smoke and mirrors in Orlando. Meanwhile in Japan: http://www.daiwa.com/jp/fishing/item/reel/boat_rl/admira/index.html No mention of SV, Magforce Z or even Mag...

Re: ICAST 2019

You know I didn't even think about how the much more compact SV system would make it possible to place a non-fixed rotor on a deep spool like in that coastal. I've been wondering about this for a few years. The ID of the spool is still dependent on the OD of the inductor. You would have to design i...

Re: Righty Spinning AND Lefty Casting?

If you have different grips between casting and palming a baitcast reel then you have to change grip anyways so changing hands while changing grip is a non issue. You don't have to use a right hand baitcast reel if you are right handed. If you have enough fine motor skills in your left hand then you...

Re: ICAST 2019

I wouldn't write off the Zillion CT yet. With the Tatula 100, Tatula 150 and 200 it makes sense that there would be a new Zillion CT and a Zillion HD. This is what I was getting at earlier in this thread. I guess that "new" Zillion HD got everybody distracted..... I'm skeptical. It doesn't ma...

How does that monster plam? Like an older Tatula without the mag dial rubbing on your finger? I could go for that. I want a "1516" spool reel to play around with those sized spools.
