Re: Post purple

Help I am being tempted by the purple. It's only 13000 yen or roughly $116 before shipping. The problem is I would have to buy a $225 Hyuga to match. Only a 67ML would make sense. But I have too many ML casting rods as it is. I'm about to buy this thing... https://i.postimg.cc/hGQWVX6Q/Screenshot-20...

Re: 1016 BFS Reel

Is the DIY the matte finish 103/1016 or is it one of the older 1016 or 103 glossy spools? The only difference is the spool shaft is slightly longer on the oldee 1016 DIYs. They used to have separate 103 and 1016 sized spools then merged them. I would try and find an SS SV 103 or 105 for $100. There ...

Re: 70 size spool options

World it be ok if the link was to the manufacturer website? As best as I could determine it is only against the rules to inquire about where to buy an item. There is nothing against someone just stating that there is an item for sale at a good price at a non forum sponsor site. It's like they don't...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

Not bfs, but diy 1516 Look what I found on AliExpress http://s.aliexpress.com/veQbyEVV Awesome!!! I was a huge fan of the BFS spool for these reels, I use another Zillion TWS (1516) for deep cranking and think this spool might be great. One user from Russia on Aliexpress mentioned "Figured out the ...

Re: Where can I find xxxx piece of tackle inqiuries

Just to clarify if someone were looking for a reel ... those inquiries are no longer allowed on this forum. What if something pops up in a discussion about a reel. Such as this recent example. Person1: I want the Steez CT but no one has any in stock Person2: They have them at [NON FORUM SPONSOR] in...

Re: Where can I find xxxx piece of tackle inqiuries

Just to clarify if someone were looking for a reel and I found it on a site that is not a forum sponsor, I would not be allowed to post a link to the item in the forum? I could still name the site without providing a link, correct? They would have to do the leg work on their end to find the item on ...

Re: Reels Over Rated Or Under Rated

Over rated - SS SV Feels like a plastic toy, has a very weak drag, and is over braked Under rated - SV 103 - Its an og Zillion with lots of spool options. Smooth and powerful. I love them stock. I agree with your assessment of the SS SV but it is pretty much hated and not recommend as a purchase. W...

Re: Best Value Is An Accurist Statement from Quantum

Call, does the flipping switch still operate as I recall? When activated the clutch is open as long as the thumbar is held down but as soon as the thumbar is released the clutch engages? I has the last gen and I would use the flipping switch fo pitch baits then fire off a cast only to relax my thumb...

Re: Reels Over Rated Or Under Rated

I thought the Steez was overrated. That said I have 3 of them. They are lightweight, take 103/1016 spools, come in fast ratios ect but they commaned a hefty price when new and the hype about the smoothness and refinement of the reels didn't pan out for me. They are about as smooth and refined as my ...

Re: Is Zillion SV worth cost over Tatula SV?

Has anybody noticed a difference in smoothness between the 7:3 and 8:1 Tatula SV ? I read some preferred the lower gear ratio for long term smoothness ? I've never had a 8:1 Tat SV , thinking about getting one...The TT review said it handled the big gear well. I have a 7:3 , it's butter. My 8.1 is ...

Re: Post purple

ZPI PG spool because its not the same purple as my Steez EX 7.9 but the parts found a home That Daiwa purple is odd shade. Not much matches up with it. The Megabass Hyuga rods match nicely though. They're easy on the wallet too. I'm a big fan if the 72H. Its the poor man's X4 Destruction. https://s...
