Re: Third generation Tatula is coming next month

Why do some people have a problem with graduating Tatula models over the years? I have been buying Curados since the 90's. No one complains about that series never going away. What am I missing?

Re: Which State would you choose?

How do you feel about fishing frequency? At any given moment I can drive 5 minutes and be in 4 lakes all that have schools of bass (50 fish days not uncommon, sometimes without moving the boat) and some larger fish up to 4-5 with an outside chance of a 6. I can drive 10 miles and hit 15-20 lakes, I ...

Re: What rod handle material do you prefer?

Without a doubt, Syncork. Picked up an Elliott Rod last year, have several custom ice rods with Syncork handles. Great handle material.
GRe grip, feel, lightweight, can be sanded rough to smooth. Love this stuff.

DAIWA 103HSDF Modification

This weekend I fell back in love with this reel. IT is a little awkward, a bit heavy and old But it is still a great functioning reel. I have an appreciation for engineering that stands the test of time. I used this reel HARD in its early days, even up until 4-5 years ago. So when I picked it up and...

Re: Power Pro Super 8 Slick V2
I wish they would have had 8lb V2 at my local Cabelas, but I just had to go with 10lb :big grin: What knot are you using to join you floro leader?
I went with 8 on my LES 70LXF, very nice. Uni to uni has never failed me, not one time for over 20 years. 6 wraps each side then pull t...

Re: Power Pro Super 8 Slick V2

Been using power pro line exclusively since its inception. I have always had good luck with it so I cant find a reason to change. Almost all my spinning rods are spooled with 10lb test PP. I pair Slick 8 with either 8,10,12lb seaguar floro for a leader, I usually go with a leader just long enough th...

Re: Supertuning/Modifying your reels...

I have a couple OG Fuego casting reels I have been considering a tune up. Any suggestions to keep the budget low but soup these up a bit?

Re: St Croix SCV panfish rods

I picked up the LEP 7LXF this season. The Rod is an absolute joy to fish. In hand, off water, one would rate the rod more of a fast action it feels and looks as though the rod loads further down the blank than you would expect for an XF rating. I think that is a product of being such a lite power bl...

Re: Daiwa LT spinning reels

I bought my first Fuego LT after turning the handle and playing with a demo from my local Pro shops reel case. I generally put my own line on at home so I didn't open the new reel box in store. I returned home to spool it up and when i put the handle on and turned it the first time I found a reel fa...

Re: Daiwa LT spinning reels

I think my problem has to do with the light setting I am using the drag at. The drag knob spins pretty freely because I am not tightening it down, rather fishing panfish on 4lb test. It is as if the drag tension knob does have enough tension. I am also using a new BG 1500 with no problems. The Tatul...

Re: Daiwa LT spinning reels

I too am experiencing this. I don't even know I brush the drag setting and I hear it ticking. I am using a Fuego LT currently for panfish, I have found the drag knob just doesn't tighten down enough to be set in a stable position. Flip the bail, grab the line and I hear the drag knob ticking.

Re: original Fuego 3000 spinning

At the risk of losing the opportunity to nab your Fuego, I agree with JohnD. Even going back further to TDZ Emblem Z and Emblem X. I still have some of them going strong.....And I use the crap out of them.
