Went and got it. It's a sweet rod for sure! Perfect for what I wanted it for. Have a stradic ci4 1000 on it but am going to get a bigger reel. Maybe the new Vanford 2500 or 3k

Is the 74 heavy supposed to be more of a swimbait rod, with the mod-fast taper? Or would that make it a good heavy cover rod with braid? Im unfamiliar with Shimanos regular fast rods.
