Maybe there are some differences, but the obvious - body and braking system are the same.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 11:20 pmSaw that one on aliexpress. Didn't know that they are the same reel.

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
You might be able to heat shrink over the carbon basket weave grips. http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=88951 Really depends if the pokey carbon strands are already soaked and hardened with epoxy - if so, the shrink tube won't push them down flat (unless you go really really hot to ...

Re: Time for Another Build or Two: Point Blank Rods's PB731HXF
I’ve built that exact same blank recently. Mine came in heavier than stated, can’t finde my note of proof but I believe it was 2.5oz. Total rod weight 4.47oz also caused by the reel seat and aluminum locknut trim thing. Balancing torque 0.19 ftlbs at a 10.5 inch handle length (butt to reel seat) an...

Re: A Masterpiece - Shimano's Metanium MGL 150B Baitcaster
I don't think the spools are different size at all, depth or otherwise. Check the specs on both websites yourself. If anything, Shimano USA got the meter to yard conversion wrong on the 14lb rating. All signs point to them bieng the same, exact spool. As for the Antares/Metanium spool comparison, I...

Re: A Masterpiece - Shimano's Metanium MGL 150B Baitcaster
I think the Anteres spool is nearly identical except it has the additional side porting and different axle dimensions right? Probably not a big difference, but every little bit helps right, at least at the lower end. If you’re comparing the Antares to the JDM Metanium yes they’re almost identical, ...
