Strpped Reel down to frame
As stated its clean and bone dry to frame. No need to talk bearings just other advise. The shimanos come with grease under base of handle shaft where the bearing is located. I think this is for water/corrosion as its lowest part of reel. Do u re pack it? I'm gonna clean these every 3 months cuz I fi...

General maintenance question
When tightening the star drag nut during reassembly how far do you tighten it? I've been tightening just till it stops, put drag star on then handle. This leaves u with a tightened down drag when done then I just back it off. That ok? Thanks

Re: Gloomis rod above NRX????!!!!!
I would like to see a new NRX but I think we areally jus going ton see this Conquest. 10% lighter than what, an NRX but stronger with the spiral wrap and full grip? If so they did the impossible. I myself like split grips. I have 15 NRX rods almost all green as I hate the blue. Wish they would take ...

Re: 14 Zillion Crankbait & Swimbait Rods
That's good to hear, I pulled the trigger never have holding any of the Zillion models. Paid for them today, $250 shipped for the 8' H SBR & the 8' glass CB rod. I figured I can't go wrong getting 2 for less than the price of one. Should have them by Sat or Mon, pretty excited to check em out and ge...

Re: ICast preview, look at new GLX
No wonder it has that carbon ring on the rear, that's Rackley's influence coming from the blinged out Dobyns he fished for yrs lol. I hate the way they look, the full grip isn't as bad as the split. And if that carbon ring was gone on the full grip I wouldn't have a problem w it. The spinning rod ha...

Re: Dobyns Champion Extreme HP video = new DX rods
I just got to see these rods recently and was absolutely blown away by the quality, aesthetics and finish. Much more so than the NRX's I own, especially at their price point. The NRX 895C that I purchased turned out for me anyway to be less than desirable for pitchin & flippin. And after holding the...

Re: 14 Zillion Crankbait & Swimbait Rods
I have most of the Zillion rods. I have the glass one and it fishes great. It is not too heavy for an 8 foot stick. Most 8 foot crankin sticks are going to be on the heavy side when throwing big crankbaits like the 10XD and 8XD. When throwing big cranks the rod and bait do wear on you. I can fish i...

Re: 14 Zillion Crankbait & Swimbait Rods
I have the 8ft MH Zillion (gen 2.5) I haven't put much time on it but it seems to be a good rod. Its 7.3oz but doesn't feel that heavy. I plan on going out tomorrow so ill put more time in with it. That's the CBR u have? If u think about it post tomorrow night your thoughts and how it handled the b...

Re: 14 Zillion Crankbait & Swimbait Rods
Did u own the 8' H SBR? And the CBR I ordered is the glass one, have u fished any of those? If so or anyone else in here has how balanced r they, are the heavy? These seem like very unpopular rods, can't find anyone that owns them no reviews on line. TT did the model before, think it was 09 and they...

14 Zillion Crankbait & Swimbait Rods
So I seen the post below that says the Zillion rods aren't even close to the Adrena rods. Now that was in a JWR and I don't need that kind of sensitivity in a CB & SB rod but it still has me concerned. I have searched high and low for reviews on both of these series rods and can find nothing. Anyone...

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?
I just purchased my NRX rods about 2 months ago when they were discontinuing the green ones. In the 2 months I have fished the 893C the most w the 852C following. I currently own all the models and some models more than one except in the 802C and 916C. I do want to pu a cpl 916C and some more of oth...

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?
the 893 JWC on Mondays and Saturdays, the 852 on Wednesdays and Thursdays! HAHA The 893 is an amazing rod for bottom contact. Perfect blend of power and sensitivity! The 892 is perfect for weightless presentations! I feel with the NRX lineup, it hits a very special dream of many anglers who want bo...
