Re: My Megabass Pop-x addiction

Is there a regular cadence when the Pop-X special editions get released or is it ad-hoc but happens quite a bit? I just saw that there will be a new set of 6 with the "Into the X" Stage 2. Also, how many total different variations are there (ballpark)? Are we talking dozens or hundreds??? Beautiful ...

Hmmm... Looks like we'll have a Phase 2 at the same price for "Into the X"...

Re: Has anybody tried "Into the X" from Megabass?

Yeah, the Pokedex is actually looking pretty good (think I'm up to 110) but Pikachu remains elusive  Overall, the "Into the X" was "good, not great". It was fun to receive a box every month and I really like the display case with the pride color lures. But for that kind of dough, I feel like ...

Re: Am I nuts?

You really can't go wrong between these 2 high end options. If you need to sell one to fund the other then follow your intuition. If this is not the case, I'd keep both to try them side by side and see which one you like best

Re: must have megabass rods?

BFS: Kirisame Baitcast (either) Do you have experience with the Kirisame F2-63XK-S? I am considering this stick and would like to know little bit about it. This rod is simply awesome for BFS. It can handle 1/16 oz no problem (with the right reel). Anything in particular I can help answer? I've used...

Re: Is this normal

I have had the exact same experience with Tackle Japan. It's the same shipping price for up to 3 rods though.

I agree with Teal. Unfortunately, I think it's due to the contracts this shop has with shipping companies, not mischievous intent (I've gone back and forth a couple of times with KC on this).

I have extensive experience only with the first one but hear good things about the other options.

Re: Best rod for fishing jigs?

Great. Then it's up to you whether you prefer a longer rod vs. a shorter rod. I know of plenty of folks using longer rods in shallow water, but I prefer 7' rods unless I'm bombing casts, which is rare for the fishing I do.

Re: Best rod for fishing jigs?

Ha, great question with lots of possible answers depending on your fishing style, budget, personal preference, etc. Personally, I have found that rods that fish 1/2 oz really well don't do 3/8 oz well (but will do 5/8 oz well). But that's just me and I'm uber picky. But here is my bottom dragging ro...

Re: Experience with Loomis XPeditor service

Yeah, I finally got through this morning. I guess I called at the wrong time yesterday. Customer Service rep was very friendly and helpful. My particular rod is out of stock but they will ship a replacement as soon as it gets back in stock. Very smooth process. =D> Has anyone tried swapping models f...

I did hit up Pro J today. Good shop and the manager Jasper is a good dude. Scored a couple Canadian limited 110s (the last 2).
