Re: Exsence BB
BB means Brood Brother. It's a cost down version of the regular Exsence. It has an XT-7 material body vs. Magnesium for the regular Exsence. That is the most basic explanation I can give you. The concept was similar performance at a lower cost due to the material difference for the body. XT-7 is a ...

Exsence BB
Recently started checking this spinner out. Anyone have experience/knowledge of this particular reel? Why is there such a difference in price between it and the regular Exsence? What does the BB mean? Shimano Japan says it has a Hagane body, does that mean it has an aluminum body/stem? Not super fam...

Re: Versatile cranking rod
https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/13_Fishing_Defy_Black_Crankbait_Casting_Rods/descpage-CRHDF.html I like the 7'4" and use it for any moving bait. The lure range is 1/4oz to 1 1/2oz, and it handles the whole range well. Would you take one of those over a Duckett JW signature series? I've never fished...

Versatile cranking rod
Looking for a fairly versatile crankbait rod. I mainly bank fish but occasionally get in the boat with my father in law. I throw a bunch of DT6, DT8, kvd 1.5, bandit 200, bomber 4A, 3xd, 1/2oz super spot and traps, and when I go with my FIL we throw kvd 2.5, 5xd, and 6xd. I’m trying to stay under $2...

OG tatula vs New tatula rod
Hey guys I owned one of the original tatula rods (7ft med. casting) and I absolutely loved it but curiosity got the better of me and I sold it off for a dobyns fury. Loved the balance I achieved with the dobyns but needless to say it was a major downgrade in sensitivity. So I’m looking at trying a t...

Re: Shimano 2017 Icast rumor mill ...
Wow, Shimano starts coming out new Curado model every year now? 2014 - G series, piece of cr*p 2015 - I series, better version of cr*p 2016 - 70 series, tried to recover Curado name 2017 - ??? Shimano needs to bring back the 50E which is still the King of the Hill for Curado/Chronarch models. G ser...

Re: Orra disassembly ?
Assuming you were talking about the handle side plate. If it's the palming side plate then just pull the pin at the top of the frame to the right(if its a right hand reel) it's spring loaded so it requires some finesse to hold the pin back and remove the plate.

Re: Orra disassembly ?
Did you remember to remove the maintenance port lid and screw? The handle side plate won't come off unless the maintenance port/port screw is removed.

100b
Hey guys I've found a Shimano curado 100b at a good price and thought about picking it up but I don't really need another 6:1 ratio reel so I was wondering is there a 7:1 gear set available for the 100b/d series? Thanks.

High(er)speed gear set for cardiff
Hey guys my first post here. I was hoping some of the more experienced tackle junkies could help me out. I have been wanting to try a Shimano round reel but sadly do not have the funds for a calcutta so I about decided to go with the cardiff but it's only available in 5:1 gear ratio. Does anyone kno...
