Re: Conquest rod weights?

Not much difference in weight vs. NRX. 842c NRX=106g, 842c Conquest=102g. 843c NRX=110g, 843c Conquest=111g. I'll have to weigh my Conquests when I can get to a good scale since they are now split grip like NRX. That extra cork probably added at least 7g. you modded them to be split grip? dude, you...

Re: Bait Monkey is F***ing Me Over!!! HELP ME!

No nrx 893? That is a must have.. the nrx line is still top dog in my opinion.
There are some great contenders out there, poison glorious/ultima,steez ags, luxxe oltre, kaleido.. buy them all, that's what I did

Re: Anyone give an updated comparison GLX893 vs NRX 893

NRX 893 is a great jig rod, but to me 1/4 oz is too light for it.

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

Fished today with mine. 904c with a Metanium MGL and 15# Tatsu. Caught 16 Spots tonight, biggest around 3. 3/16 shakeyhead with trick worm. Little overkill, got it for t-rig and jigs, but couldn’t resist fishing with it today. Wicked sensitive, can’t wait to go to Chickamauga this weekend! Nice! What i...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

Does the MBR taper make them more parabolic.. Are these supposed to be moving bait rods? No, they are a classic "Mag Bass" taper that Loomis has been using for years. The rods are all considered a "fast" taper but they aren't technique specific like many other lines of Loomis ro...

Re: Braid/Fluro Leader Question

I use 30lb smackdown and 14lb sun line floro, never had a problem with break offs. I rarely run straight braid, My leaders are about 3 ft or less.

Re: What do i "need"

You bring 8 rods?! That's a lot to lug around..when I go non boater I bring 3, a medium or a heavy jig rod, another medium casting rod for spinners/crankbaits, and a spinning rod for worms.

Re: Evergreen Brett Hite Combat Sticks

Just got the 7'3" heavy, it is very light, feels more Medium heavy than heavy. The build quality is very nice, very comfortable in hand, and the rod case is very nice. Good balance with a 13 metanium. Overall I am very impressed for the price

I have both types, different rod types so I cant speak to sensitivity... But, I do think that the green finish is more durable...and looks cooler
