Re: Ultrasonic cleaner recommendation.
I got a $40 one from Amazon, worked really well but quit in about 6 months. Contacted the company and they sent out a brand new one no questions asked, which again works great. So I think I would recommend that one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&p...

Re: Sadly done with Shimano Baitcasters
Interesting but I guess that is why we all have our likes and dislikes. Personally I can outdistance about any of my Daiwa reels with a Exscence DC or Chronarch D. Shimano and Daiwa are 1A and 1B in my book and I have a nice collection of both with things I appreciate about each. Rarely will I atte...

Re: Dock skipping setup
Nicely done sir!
I love my Steez! People talk about them not handling heavier baits as well but frankly I've thrown 1 oz jigs + trailer with zero feeling of flex or anything. They're just really lightweight, solid and strong. As they should be for a flagship reel.

Re: Tackle Trap/Pike Road Reel Service
Had Bryan do reassembly and cleaning on a freshly painted TD-Z with some new stock sideplates. Everyone knows how fragile that TD-Z paint is. Reel came back absolutely flawless and functioning perfectly. Would highly recommend them.

Well completely depends what you're going to use them for!
I have a 7.1 on one and a 7.4 on the other, personally.

Re: Braid Scissors Question
Those Pit Bull cutters are the real deal. I have a pair and they are the best I've used by far. Only had them a couple months so I personally can't say anything about the longevity, but they are suspended from my backpack on a retractor and so they get banged around a good bit and they still look an...

Re: Pics of a few combos
Great combos. I don't get to fish nearly as much as I'd like either. Guess that comes with owning a house/land and having a family.
Re: Reel Love
That's the way it should be. If you can pick a clear winner, you're doing something wrong. They should all be clear winners (okay, maybe a few exceptions, but you get the just) . I enjoy fishing all my reels to the extreme cause I love them all. If it doesn't make me giddy, it's not the reel for me...

Re: Fishing- Passion vs. Addiction
This is a lot of info, but for me fishing was a therapeutic remedy for a former addiction. I have been clean 5 years from HEAVY pain medicine addiction, and had remembered always liking fishing in high school, and in college before I got off track. So after I finally started seeing results and stri...
