Re: Sunline Defier Armilo vs Sufix Advance?
Ran both last year for a few different scenarios. I really really liked the advance as a leader for a few applications especially C Rig. Also I run braid for my top water setup and I tie on about 2ft of 20lb mono for for leader on that. Have had zero issues with it and it likes the knot I use to joi...

Re: Champion 734 vs Sierra 734
Not the same rod. I just had this decision myself. I already own, use and love the DC 734 XP just wanted another rod for Spinnerbaits as my dc is my go to Chatterbait rod and back up Jig rod. Idk how to explain it any better but if you stand the rod up and pull on the tip it loads to the second guid...

+1 and it’s over pricedpoisonokie wrote:Shame, because IMHO the Zillion SV TW is the best all around bass reel ever produced. It just doesn't yet have the benefit of nostalgia and is in a sea of other offerings.

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty
Righty, reel lefty. Grew up fishing this way. Rod in dominate hand.... I keep poking fun on Daiwa reps because model after model they screw all the lefty guys stateside. New Tat 150 for example only 1 gear ratio in lefty. Would be a legit 5:1 cranking reel, oh but wait I don’t use righty reels... Th...

Need 3 Daiwa Spinning Rods possibly 4
Hey guys Any input would be useful. I absolutely hate the Fuji reel seat most of these use. Only one I could see myself using is the the seat on the Tat Elites but I’ve seen the same 7ft M XF with 2 different reel seats at 2 different places. So I’m afraid I’ll order the 3 rods and have different se...

Re: Zillion SV Magsealed?
I will say this, after fishing all day back and forth between the 7.3 US and 9.1 JDM. They feel slightly different in smoothness

Re: Zillion SV Magsealed?
Odd that they would put them in the regular zillion and not the SV. Are they too slow for the SV spool or something? I'm new to the realm of Daiwa.

Zillion SV Magsealed?
Hey guys,
So got my 9.1:1 JDM models in and my 6.3 and 7.3:1 USDM models in. Don't see anything that tells me that either one has Magseal bearings. Japantackle says yes in description which I know the non SV, JDM models do but idk about these... Anyone?

Re: Daiwa guys, need your help
So as my research continues here's what I'm thinking so far C Rig - Zillion HLC when it's released Squarebills - Tatula JDM 5.5:1 'Crazy Cranker' Keitechs - Tatula HLC 8.1:1 3/8-1/2oz Jigs - Zillion SV 9.1:1 Then maybe (2) Tat CT Type Rs for the 702 and 703 pitching setups to keep costs down. From w...

Re: Daiwa guys, need your help
Pretty much lol seeing what others recommend. Was thinking staying with the Tat/Zillion platform but seems a lot of guys really like the Alphas, SS, Steez etc over the Tat/Zills...Pen3 wrote:So you are asking for what reel to get for those rods that aren't mated yet? Is there a price point?

Re: Daiwa guys, need your help
My apologies... Smh The point of this thread is I'm not as familiar as I'd like to be with Daiwa. Plan was to go mostly zillion and a couple Steez/Tats in between. But maybe some of you guys could point me to other models that may be more suitable for said techniques. Any and all feedback is greatly...

Daiwa guys, need your help
I plan on going mainly Daiwa and sell of all my Shimanos. Going to post a list of what I need reels for but let me start by asking Tatula HLC, is this tuned for heavier stuff like how the upcoming Zillion HLC is? I plan on grabbing a Zillion HLC for my C Rig setup but the Tat version doesn't look li...
