Re: Most forgiving baitcaster

Smart choice on the Lews given how tiny some of their reels are. I feel as though just about any reel can become "forgiving" when you put the breaks on enough. It just depends on how far you plan on casting at that point! I've never seen the Lew reels in person. Which ones have the smallest profile...

Re: Frog Rod

MHX 874 is one I've read a lot about and something I'm looking into building myself for a frog rod.

Daiwa TD Zillion Spacers

Is it possible to get my hands on some spacers that'll make my og Zillion compatible with the 1016 spools etc? I heard these were a thing but after looking online can't find much info about them or where I'd get them... Thanks!

How's that SJ78 fish? Was looking at one for mainly throwing half oz jigs but was worried the tip might be too light for that application.

Re: New Antares

Weight is such an overblown factor with fishing reels. As long as it palms well thats what matters.

Re: Big Braid for Big Baits

Learn the FG knot and tie on a "shock leader" of mono. If i'm not mistaken thats what they do in surf casting with braid in order to add a little give in case things get hairy.
