Re: Curado K SVS Question

Had the same kind of problem with the aldebaran bfs, at first it was hard to turn the dial, but it loosened up a bit after some use.

Re: Livingston Lures -- What has been your experience

Tryed one square bill and a deep crank. Didnt get a single fish out of em, maybe I lost confidence so they are resting quietly into my tacklebox !

Re: Still got "dc reel itch", which one?

For overall fishing I would pick up a metanium DC, it is lighter, palm well, and if you want a topwater dedicated reel next year just pick up a nice 2nd hand 12 Exsence, that reel will suit just fine for the task and you will still have some money left for a very descent rod to built with or get a c...

Re: BFS REEL ????

Have you ever consider the 16 aldebaran ? I own two of them and really like this platform. Never tryed the scorpion bfs, the alde is lighter, palm well, but I believe it also offer a good performance. The pixy is also a really nice little reel, you could get a fairly cheap diy shallow spool for arou...

Re: Some initial probs with Aldebaran BFS

I run 8 magnet in mine, kinda set and forget so I use only the dial. Mine is paired with a volkey68L and #7 fcsniper. The only time I had a bad overrun was user error. The only problem I had with this reel is that one of the magnet turned bad and it was kinda sticking out and messing with the spool ...

Re: Help me decide for a finesse baitcaster

I have 15 alde bfs ltd, 16 alde bfs xg, and sv105. All of them are very nice little reels, but if I had to keep 1 of them for finesse it would be 16 aldebaran. Thats says I mostly fish fresh water and didnt try the new scorpion, the alde must be a little bit better in some department, weight, palmin...

Re: Teckel sprinkler frog

I usually fish where there is lots of big tootties around, no chance im trowing more than 10 bucks on a frog.

Since then, might aswell pick up a frog and glue some paddletail behind
