Re: New UL spinning reel?

I'd get the Luvias...much better reel than the Vanford for not a whole lot more money. Regards Hi, alphahawk. I saw your recent video on the new presso 1000. How would you compare the luvias to the new presso? Should i spend a bit more and go with the daiwa 21 presso lt1000s-p? The 2021 Presso reel...

Re: New UL spinning reel?

Thank you for the suggestions I did get the vanford, although light. I wasn't very impressed with its smoothness. It was honestly too geary for my taste. I will look into the luvias!

New UL spinning reel?

Hi, I need some suggestions for a new 1000-2000 size spinning reel used for trout and crappie, using mostly jigheads/tubes/drop shot. Budget around 300$... give or take. Also, if it weighs under 5.8 oz that would be perfect. Any recommendations would be very helpful thanks!

Re: Recommend a new finesse spinning rod

Thanks, i'll probably put the ags at the top of the list now. Too many positive feedbacks compared to the new NRXs....

Re: Recommend a new finesse spinning rod

On the NRX I'd go for the 852 over the 822 models to cover that range of applications. The 822DSR will be better at dropshotting, but IMO it's not a great neko rod. The 761MML Steez will do all three applications well, and is crazy versatile in general. Haven't fished the Landsat. I'd have put the ...

Recommend a new finesse spinning rod

Hi, I am looking for a new rod for ned rigs, drops shots, and neko rigs. Budget between 300-500$. The more versatile the rod the better. So far I've looked at the NRX+ 822s, daiwa steez ags, and megabass p5 landsat. Anymore suggestions would be helpful thanks!

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!

I was going to get an NRX, but reading the comments about defects on a 600$+ rod has me worried...

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!

I just bought the GLX 854...cost as much as my first NRX, but it made more sense. Fished it two weeks straight..and hard. I like the rod enough that I may not consider another NRX purchase (especially an NRX+) I'd still grab a used 893c or 873crr NRX if the price was right. I hear so many people sa...

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!

Long shot but anyone have the 853 or 854c jwc? Been thinking about getting an NRX for a long time, however hear so many different opinions on the previous version. Are the updated NRX+ versions that much better?

Re: High end rod recommendations

Take a look at the new Steez 73mh It’s super versatile and sensitive Then there is the new 75 Bottom Contact is mh-h but probably a little less versatile. I’ve been fishing the 69 and 73 mh lately and they do a lot Another option might be the new Megabass Dragoon It comes with 2 tips a regular and ...

Re: High end rod recommendations

Haven’t tried a Pouison Ultima. But over the years I’ve had Poison Adrenas, Megabass P5’s, and NRX’s. The old NRX’s. IMO, the Adrena 7’3”MH is the best ‘all around’ rod I’ve owned. I’ve used it for countless applications. And in both fresh and saltwater. It really is a Swiss Army knife of a rod. I ...

High end rod recommendations

I'm in the market for a new high end mh-h rod that will be used for general purpose techniques, so versatility is key for me. I was looking at the Poison Ultima, a few mega bass rods, and the new NRX+. Right now I'm still researching, but any tips and recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

FTL1951...WOW!!! Three Eradicators. Only nine more to go to fill out your entire collection... Seriously though, THANK YOU for sharing from your hands on experience. This is invaluable. Hope you don't mind a few more questions: 1. Do you have other high end UL or L rods in similar class, rega...

Re: Abu Garcia Eradicator 6' 7" Slow Taper Special.

I actually bought the 6'10 LS. The rod has sensitivity for sure and feels great using tiny 1g swim baits and loads well on small blue gills and even bass. Very parabolic/soft bend when fish on, however when working lures it is very much an extra fast tip. Only threw a > 1 g inline spinner a few time...
