Re: XX PP for small swimbaits?
I have the Hyuga 72H... I bought it specifically for Ganterel Jrs, G2 Shellcrackers, and 6" Line Thru Trout. It sucks for that. After 1 whole year of fishing it I did not like it for that. The Hyuga is too tip heavy and too short for my liking. I hated how casting distance is limited because it's so...

Re: Auction site gems
Just wanted to pass this deal on since I have a few of these rods already and the Lady won't be happy if I buy another one. Came upon this 7'2" Megabass Hyuga 2pc rod for a steal of a price.

How light can Casitas MGL cast?
Can it comfortably cast 1/8 to 1/4 oz total weight? Specifically, 1/8 oz jighead with 3 inch plastic, KVD 1.0 squarebills, and Aska 50 SR.
The rod I have is a Shimano Zodias 6'10" ML but don't have a reel for it yet.

Re: 2017 JDM Shimano Reel Speculation
Probably too early to tell, but does anyone think the Scorpion BFS price will go down below $250 by June? At $310-318ish, would rather just get the 16 alde.

15 lb Power Pro Depth Hunter on BFS reel?
It's .007 or 4 lb mono equivalent. I plan to use it for 1/4 oz baits in grass so I need the braid to cut through grass easily and also more line for bombing out lures like rapala rippin raps.
Will this line be ok on my BFS spool? I've never used braid on bfs before so I need some assurance

Re: Square Bill Suggestion
For me it'll always be Strike King KVD 1.5 in Natural Pumpkinseed color (Basspro's exclusive color), because it's what I caught my PB on twice in the same day. Make sure to change out the front trebles to size 4 Mustad Short Shank Triple Grip because the original trebles hang up on the bill every ot...

Re: Is there such a thing as too many rods?
Yes, I realized I use a couple rods 90% of the time and the rest don't see much action. I've since downsized from 40 to 10 the past year. I no longer feel like a hoarder

Re: Shimano Zodias
Can someone tell me more about the 1610ML-2? I'm looking to replace my 6'6" ML St Croix Legend Elite spinning rod for a baitcasting rod. I mainly use it for 1/8th ball jigheads and 2" plastic trailer. It's my smallmouth, walleye, and white bass slayer. The Legend Elite is perfect in every way but I...

Question for Major Craft Speedstyle 68L BFS rod owners
The rating says 1/16-1/4 oz, I was wondering if it's capable of loading up to 3/8 oz lures or is that too heavy for this rod? I intend to mostly throw 1/8 oz darter jigheads with 2" flukes/grubs and occasionally throw 3/8 oz hard baits (shallow cranks) in a pinch. Will this rod do it or nah?

Re: Lews tournament mb brake settings
Like the others have said 2 brakes on and the dial set on free spool or 2 or 3 clicks and it casts like a dream. It sounds like yours might be defective. I hope you haven't given up on Lews and give another one a try after you return that one. I have the Team Pro Z, Team Lite, and MB and they all ca...
