Re: Steez 17 spinning reel
I spooled one up with 8 lbs braid last night and winged a nose hooked 4" Senko around. The drag does anything you want it to. So far I am very happy. You will be too. Do you use any backing or tie directly to the spool? A few wraps of 4 Lbs mono. Actually worked pretty good. The knot laid right in ...

Handle is different too, Tatula knobs. The JDM versions have the polycarbonite spool as you stated and coated cork knobs.

Re: Steez 17 spinning reel
SteezTypeII.jpg Mine showed up today. Mean joke played on me. They told me they forgot to ship them, and would be gone for the week. Spool is awesome. Can't wait to try them. They are more of the original Steez gray/gunmetal color than I pictured. They looked all black online. Smoothness and overal...

Re: Tatula LT 2500D vs. 4000
What do you think of the new Tat. spinning reels? I can't wait to get my hands on one. Kurt I have only fished with the 4000's. They are surprisingly smooth for a high gearing carbon framed reel. The frame feels way stiffer than previous Zaion frames. They are going to surprise a lot of people at t...

Re: Tatula LT 2500D vs. 4000
10 lbs mono 130 yards.
10 lbs Braid 205 yards. (approximately)
Yeah I know Seth, he designed that rod and worked with R&D on the Tatula spinning reels.
Hope that helps.

Even though it's like 30 degrees here in Minnesota, would like to caress them, Lol.

Re: Tatula LT 2500D vs. 4000
If you hold your hand completely above the reels stem the 2500 is alright. I tried a 3000 on it for you and it is a tad tip heavy, if you split your fingers at all on the reel stem. The 4000 is perfect on that rod. Seth is all about the 4000 for that rod. That being said I am trying the 2500's this ...
