Re: New Tatula100

I doubt any daiwa pro gets to choose which reel they market. They want ehler using a reel at the Tatula price point, but he likes the size of the steez. Daiwa probably felt others would be of the same opinion. Voila! A tatula 100.

Re: New Tatula100

My two 8.1's came in. Palm excellently...better than my steez with the way I hold them. It's like it has a little more meat on the gear side for my fingers to grab. Makes my 894 feel balanced. I think the '20 zillion will be based on this, and be a slightly 'heftier' steez.

Re: New knob styles

I think daiwa's newer high-grip knobs are my favorite. Not sexy, but damn comfy. I did like the septons on my old mg50's alot.

Re: New Tatula100

I pulled the trigger on two 8.1's last night. I am slowly rebuilding my arsenal, post divorce, and was either going to go with another pair of zillion sv tw's or go the 1016 steez A route, but ended up deciding these two tat 100s will get me through this season until the new zillion comes out. It wi...

Re: BPS and Cabelas

I have thought about getting a part-time job there for extra income and of course the discount. I was told 40% off house brand merchandise, and I would probably spend as much or more of my check on clothing/outerwear. They have some pretty killer house brand duds.

I'd have tried one pre-internet.

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

Daiwa has to be aware of how popular swapping a 1016 sv spool in the steez a is. You'd think they'd just make one. I am also a huge zillion sv tw fan. I had several OG zillions in the day, and I think the current model is superior in every way. Id be all over an air metal zillion sv @ around $399.

Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

Ordering two. I've owned 4 alphas in the past, so I'm not scared of a skinnier version.

Re: Some stuff new on digitaka

Apparently, the new alphas ct and steez ct share the same 30mm g1 spool.

From jp daiwa/alphas ct: "The 30mm CT SV spool mounted is the same as the highest peak Steez CT SV and engine completely."

'19 Steez ct sv tw

More compact and 'tough' is what daiwa japan says. So here is a 70 size steez. 150 grams....30mm spool holds 70yds of 12lb line.

Re: Post purple

The tats have stock spools. These are still available at a shop or two for 28,500 yen. The problem is the 80mm handle. The slp zillions came with 90's, but not so with the tat cranker. The paint on these seems to be very good. Had a severe storm come through tulsa last year, and my combos all hit th...
