Re: New Poison Adrena

I got the 72M in, everything I expected. Perfect Duo/MB 110 - 120 rod, and throws a lighter Flash Pointer 95 with aplomb. Will be fishing some 1/4oz heads and finesse swimbaits on it soon...light, crisp, balanced with a Zillion SV TW. As for the spinning models...WTH is Shimano thinking. Where's my ...

Steez AGS Spinning Rods

Anyone have the 7'M? How is the tip action on that rod...will you fish 1/8oz jigheads + swimbaits on it, or too stiff? Ned rigs?

What lb test of teh x8 are you having success with on your bait casting set ups?
Yeah I believe I have 40 or 45 of the x8 Upgrade, works very well on my baitcasters.

The SS112...is it more like the YGK Upgrade, stiffer than J braid x8? I've been eyeing that line for awhile.

YGK x8 Upgrade on Spinning Reels

I'm really liking the YGK Upgrade on my baitcasters, but I prefer a limper, softer braid for my spinners (I'm using J braid x8 currently, it works okay but it holds a lot of water and in wind I'm sure I can do better). I do a lot of slack-line rod tip twitches, small jerkbaits etc where I'm winding ...

Re: Need Help, New Spinning Reel

Either way, just wanted to see what anyone thought, if a Daiwa alternative would work, or the Twin Power is worth the upgrade? If I could find a slightly discounted Twin Power it would make this choice so much easier. If you're looking at Twin Power price range I would get a Certate LT from TTT. Su...

Re: New Poison Adrena

the taper is a true regular but the rod itself is not like a normal crankbait rod. when i say this i mean if you take your normal crankbait rod moderate fast and give the rod a shake you can feel the tip whipping about back and fourth and tell right off hand it has a softer moderate action. The adr...

Re: New Poison Adrena

hey reason 162 i actually like it for jerkbaits ive thrown a vision 110 on it which is 1/2 but i feel like it could handle the 5/8 ok as well. i did throw the shower blow 105 with it and it was great it goes 9/16 oz which is a tad under 5/8. its rated to 3/4 but i personally would not throw 3/4 wit...

Re: MB Deep X 200 LBO

Lol - I had to stop myself from buying the 100 version as well. Cabin fever is very dangerous towards my wallet! Don’t know about you but I’ve got about 4 months to go before I’m fishing again. Threw the Deep x 200 LBO around a bit, thing doesn't want to dive quickly to depth at all. I'm sitting in...

Don't hava a kayak yet but plan to get a sit on top
The issue is high sticking when you land fish. I would suggest a full length handle landing net if you're going with 7'6+ rods from the yak, will make your life a lot easier.

Re: Best bang for the buck spinning reel

75 - 120 the obvious choices are Fuego LT and Tatula LT. I can't believe no one's mentioned the LT reels yet.

And btw...I strongly recommend against chinesium spinners. Baitcasters, you might get lucky.

My expride 7’ light + mainly used for neds
What's the heaviest weight you'd comfortably throw on that 7'L+? I'm doing a lot of things well with my 610ML, but missing a little bit of length for certain techniques.

Re: Daiwa Rebellion Rods 2020

HVF + blading x...this was the Cronos formula, and those were very lively rods. I liked them better than any of the Tatula variants released last couple of years.
