Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

The 10# SS112 has performed beautifully for me with finesse type applications. It's on my Exist LT/Steez AGS 76MML combo now. I find it to be a little softer/more limp than comparable SS140 in 11#, but the SS140 does sink a little faster. Both are incredible lines - get a spool of each and report b...

Re: Keitech Shad Impact

Are we mainly referring to the 4”? I have some 3” incoming that I want to try for searun brown trout (1/32-1/16 jig head)... I've fished the 3" on a dropshot to some success, I would wager on a 1/32 head (and perhaps #2 hook) it would mirror the action of the 4" perfectly. The 5" shad impact has vi...

Re: Jackall Rerange 110

I've had a couple months fishing with the Rerange 110 and 130 with great success. The stock trebles need to be changed as they snap off easily. I replaced them with Owner Stinger #6 trebles and even though they are heavier, the action does not seem to be effected. I picked up 3 Rerange 110s differe...

Rigged it on a weighted ewg swimbait hook and caught the biggest fish of the day \:D/
Unweighted EWG they have a subtle shimmy on the fall that is deadly...on a slow steady wind it wanders and does a half roll side to side. Very underrated bait!

Just got off the phone to Tef Gel and spoke to the "info" fella Wayne.

Getting some literature to sift through... Supposedly a OEM reel manufacturer uses it.

Will keep you posted.
How interesting, thanks Slazmo!

Re: New grease suggestions

Yeh I use and stock Tef Gel at my place of work. Its a dielectric non corrosion compound mostly for galvanic corrosion control for say between stainless steel and aluminium etc. I know of people pumping it into their LRB bearings... I use it in screw receptacles of most reels - it's sticky as hell ...

There are so many greases out it's mind boggling to some.
Have you or anyone tried Tef-Gel?

Thing is like Elmer's glue...I used it on my new Revo Beast and it completely changed the feel of the reel.

Oops! Sorry I didn't see and respond faster to these posts.
Brad, have you taken this thing out in any chop/waves worth mentioning? I like the commanding seat position...but suspect it has virtually zero secondary stability.

Keitech Shad Impact

One of my most versatile finesse baits...killer weightless action, and catching chunks of both species off the bottom on Keitech's 1/16oz head.

Re: Daiwa J Braid Grand 8,15,20, 30lbs ABS and Knot Breaking Strength Tests

That's the same thing the original power pro super slick did to me when it first came out. So , I never tried it again. Now they sell version 2 , it's supposed to be a tighter weave. I've been meaning to give it a try. The J braid Grand is a far cry from the loose weave of original PP super slick. ...

Re: Longer ML spinning rod

Gary's not the only person who thinks this rod is magic: https://youtu.be/vAZrcSGxYUo

It's certainly one of the most versatile spinning rods I've tried. If I did more bank beating/bass boat fishing as opposed to kayak fishing...I would've acquired a 7'6mml a long time ago.

As for megabass china, it reminds me of spyderco taichung made knives, while not made in the U.S. they are much nicer then USA made spyderco's.
I'm sure you know this but just to clarify: Taichung is a city in Taiwan, not China. Taiwanese made Spydercos are very, very nice indeed.

Flap Slap LBO

Anyone know if the SW version is actually heavier, or just heavier hooks/hardware? Some colors I'm interested in.

Thanks!
