Re: Shimano neoprene reel cover for Tranx, Bantam MGL

The medium fits the 300 Tranx snugly. The large is fits rather sloppily.

Re: Shimano neoprene reel cover for Tranx, Bantam MGL

I use a small on my Bantam but it is a stretch. I think you would need the medium for the Tranx.

Re: USDM/JDM baits similar action to Wiggle Warts

A few: Teckel Drunker, Major Craft Zoner, 6th Sense Cruve. I sure there are a few I am forgetting but those are some off the top of my head.

Re: fantasista regista

I'm sorry guys but other than Tim, who's judgement I value, has anyone else fished or handled this rod?

fantasista regista

Sierra trading has had some of these rods on their site for sometime. My resistance is getting low. Never having handled any of this line, my question is are they worth $200? The site states that they were $500 originally. Whether that is right or not I don't know. Are they better than a St. Croix A...

How much is a warranty worth.

So let me start this by saying I work at a sporting goods store. We handle about a full range on rods, no Megabass, but Loomis, St. Croix, Shimano, Fenwick, Daiwa, you get the idea. As you know the warranties vary widely on rods from all manufacturers. Every one that I have read states whatever peri...

Re: What's next for Shimano???

Anytime I can get a 50 size round reel, or I should say another, I will take. Love the ones I have and would use a new one more as it is replaceable, not like the old ones that are mainly shelf queens.

Re: Spinning Reel Daiwa Ballistic LT made in Japan....

Just from looking at your pictures. It looks like the made in Japan has a gold handle where as the USA/MIC ones have a black handle. Could be other differences also.

Re: What's next for Daiwa...

This has went downhill since the start. I hope Daiwa introduces a 50 size Royga. I think the chances are slim. Secondly I wish for Tatulas without the spider logo like everyone else. I am assuming that we will see a 100 with an SV spool, so I won't wish for that. Not a reel but wish they would bring...

Re: What's next for Daiwa...

I own and fish with both and other than brand loyalty I can not say one is dramatically better than the other for general purposes. I do think the SV spool was a rather dramatic improvement and forced Shimano to bring DC to a lower priced package. Overall to me they both have strengths and if I am n...

I know this is a little off topic, but I for one am glad to see Bronzefly posting. Seems like it has been awhile. I have always enjoyed your informed posts. I apologize to the OP for going off topic.

Re: Daiwa Steez AGS

I don't know how much it will help but I have one of the AGS Steez Spinning rods. I think it is a fine rod and very sensitive. I have had it for a couple years and the guides have held up just fine. My only reservation is that I am using spinning equipment less and casting more, so it may not get th...

Re: New Reel

I know they are available and suggested it to the guy but he wanted to keep it stock. I really did not think the drag was bad, I pulled line off. I would guess it had about 6-8 lbs of drag which I think is about standard on an Alpha.

Love your lefty reels.
