Re: TT Reels Shootout - Getting Complacent?
I just love the Ci4 ( and have for some time ) ...so felt really vindicated by the review and the shootout. I never been a spec/numbers/materials person...way more or a "how does it feel in your hand, how does it perform ???"
And for me the Ci4 is magical...

Yamamoto Flappin Hawg...Jeez. I call it the meatball, it just bounces and hops up off the rocks. I texas rig it with a weight.Never been a color person, they all work. I love to work it slowly...BIG fish bait.

E 6 x....without a doubt. Im a tried and true shimano guy ...so since the G loomis e 6x have the warranty than its a no brainer.
Really like the new crucials though...great rod so far. When Shimano does the right thing I try to vote with my purchase.

Re: Curado B handle swap?
The way something feels in my hand ( the handles, grips ) have everything to do with performance to me. In fact, I find the septon power grips to be one of my favorite "performance/feel" upgrades ( especially for the price ).

Re: Curado 200g
I have 5 or 6 of the G series, great reel and because of the misconceptions I buy them very cheaply, just got a G7 for 65 bucks. Great thanks to all those that said bad things and never even fished it. Seems almost all the comments here are very favorable. They cast very well, have plenty of power, ...

Re: POLL: 13metanium or chronarch Ci4+?
Ci4 for me, just switched to the white brakes on the Met ...but right out of the box, the Ci4 is amazing. The Ci4 is my favorite of the new Shimano line up and I have the Curado I, the Met and the Ci4. Its seems like the jury was out ( for years ) on this newer reel, but not for me. Another great ex...

A review of the reviews...TT is my absolute favorite, but it wouldn't hurt to go back and note which reviews stood the test of time and which ones didn't.

Re: Curado G My Opinion
Curado G is a great reel, I have them all. The 101 d is my favorite. Peoples misperceptions are great for me, brings the prices way down. Just got a g7 for 65 bucks including shipment. Got a great price on the D when they first came out, since folks whined about it as well.

Koppers live target...the smallest ones...1/4 oz ( I think ) . I get the most strikes and a really good hook up ratio. Highly recommended.

Re: What color Senko should I use?
Ive never been a color person...I can't imagine a bass sitting there wondering...is that black with green flake or red flake? Its the slow fall of a senko that makes it so deadly. I like the 5 inch cause you can toss them so far. Back to color, as long as its not too silly, or sticks out too much......

Re: Curado D vs Curado E vs Curado G
"I have all three. At least two of each. And I totally disagree that shootouts between discontinued models are a waste of time because it is pretty easy to buy the discontinued models online, which is what I do. And I don't have to pay the 199.99 for the Chronarch." Amen !!! Quite honestly, it seems...
