Re: Old school flat rubber

The guy tying the jig in the video is actually a well respected contributor to this website. The point of him taking that long is to show others how to do it which is sort of what that type of informative video is all about. I respect the fact that you probably tie and awesome jig and would love to ...

Re: Old school flat rubber

So in other words, you are saying you can build them and advertising that only you can build this certain type of jig with material readily available, and you are going to simply reintroduce your website for show? Am I missing something here? Thanks anyways and good luck with whatever you are planni...

Re: Levante vs. Zillion casting rods

I also have a brand new XX Spinnerbait Special and DSR that I haven't even taken out of the case yet to use. The Zillion is nice and is matched with an SV103XS. I was looking to match a Levante with a Fuego CT as a budget rod and reel but also think it would look pretty slick together with the matte...

Levante vs. Zillion casting rods

Any comparisons of both?  Looking at the jig models.  Already own a 73MH Zillion but wonder how the Levante compares?  Thanks!

Re: What do you daiwa guys use to bomb lures?

Isn't Sufix 832 actually thicker than most other comparable pound test braids??? I think 10lb original PowerPro is much thinner than 10lb Sufix 832. I think 20lb original PowerPro (.009", .023mm) is comparable to Sufix 832 10lb (.008", .020mm). Not sure about many others, it seems the new...

Older GLX question

I have a few older Loomis rods that have not seen time in quite a while. When looking at one of the GLX rods that is essentially brand new with the older Wiebe reel seat, I noticed that one of the guides doesn't look to be SiC. Never noticed this before and the rod was purchased brand new. There is ...

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Initial impression: Super smooth tank of a reel that is comfortable in hand and a joy to retrieve - literally ZERO geary feeling to the retrieve. I will say (as others have mentioned) that while I have only 2 days on the water with it, the casting distance thus far is significantly less than Met/ch...

Team Daiwa TD-Z CU spinning reels

I just picked up an absolutely beautiful Team Daiwa TD-Z 2000CU spinning reel and am looking for more information on it. The reel retrieves like butter. When did they come out, what was the retail, etc. and what are they worth today? The reel is almost mint (a few tiny, tiny marks but I am very OCD)...

Re: Tatula Elite AGS M/MH for Jerkbait?

Daiwa Tatula Original 701MLRB. It's a great jerkbait/crankbait/topwater rod. Paired with an SV103H and it's plain awesome!

If you are throwing 1/2-5/8oz. l can't see how you are having distance issues with a 7'6" unless it's a pool cue!

Re: What do you daiwa guys use to bomb lures?

How far are you really looking to cast? What line are you using and what size bait(s)? Put a non SV spool of your choice (34mm) in an SV103 and it would serve really any purpose. Get a 1016 spool in there and it will bomb baits! Or for light stuff, put a TD-Z 105H spool in there. Possibilities are e...
