CU200B part search

I know a guy looking for a tension knob for an old greenie, anyone know any superseding parts that will work if he can't find an original?

Q on a Bantam MGL

I bought one when they first came out from a shop in Japan. It was making noise every few casts on a trip a month ago. I took it apart and added oil and grease to all the bearings. I also looked at the weird spring in the reel but couldn't make heads or tales of it as it's a new feature not on older...

May want to stipulate left or right.

Love my G's.
I was going to sell my one remaining G until I remembered you vouched for them. Now I'm going to keep it. 6:5 to 1. Was rough from the start, but I'll ride it hard for a while and then replace the gears.

curado G

Are the drive and pinion gear still available for the curado G? 6.5:1 gear ration I believe.

Stradic Ci4+ 2500 FA One way clutch

I might have posted about this reel a year or two ago. I actually have 3 of these identical model reels and they've all been good to me. One in particular has problems from time to time with the handle slipping backwards. It seems to be worse in colder weather. I had it out today, with temps hoverin...

Question on CH100D7

A good buddy just gave me one to replace the knobs on it for him. He bought on ebay, and I opened the reel up quickly to check the internals. The reel was really clean and in good shape, although the damper spring was missing, which I suspected because it seems to be gone on about half of these reel...

Hit the very end of the pin with wet and dry around its outside as to give it some "key" for the glue to set against. It's quiet a small area and a challenge but I did it and hasn't moved since.
What exactly is wet and dry?

Re: VBS brake maintenance/issues encountered

I'm revisiting this post because the reel has acted up again. I did get a lot of good fishing time in before the ticking returned due to the vbs post coming loose. I looked at the plastic casing and sure enough there are cracks at the base of 2 of the posts. For those who have glued these before, wh...

Re: Curado noise on retrieve

The only reason I see to pre-service a new reel is if there are metal shavings on the gears that will cause them to "roughen up" quickly. Slaz is the one that brought this to my attention. I think when I initially saw Slaz post about this it was on a daiwa tear down of a new reel he did. ...

Re: Curado noise on retrieve

I can't stand how they over- grease reels at the factory. I break down and re-lube my reels to my liking before ever fishing them! The dumbest thing is greasing the bushings or bearings in the knobs! How people get so worked up over bearing supported knobs I will never know. I guarantee you that if...

Re: Wondering if there's a superseding part available?

Dan, I believe his name is Gage. He was very polite, spoke clearly, seemed on the ball, might just want to tell him about the whole deal where parts from older reels can supersede into newer reels etc.

Re: Wondering if there's a superseding part available?

Thanks cndbasshntr, I figured they'd be parts that fit a variety of reels. When I called Shimano CS and asked the guy about the ST1000FH he told me that parts were no longer available. I then made clear that it was only a spring and felt drag washer and asked about superseding parts and he told me n...

Wondering if there's a superseding part available?

Hello,

I'm wondering if there's a superseding part available for the following?

RD 7834 bail spring
RD 3048 drag washer

These are numbers I got off the ST1000FH schematic.

Thanks as always.

Difference between CU100D and CU100DSV and a gear ?

Out of curiosity wondering differences of CU100D and CU100DSV. Also wondering from Dan or anyone else about replacing the main gear from CU100b CU100d CH50mg body style reels with BNT1325? Will this gear work with the pinions from all of the aforementioned reels? I understand that all these pinions ...
