Re: Souped Up : Aftermarket Bolt-On Reel Handles from Gomexus
If they removed the logo/text from their handles, or made "Gomexus" more subtle, I would be buying them for many of my reels. It is not that I dislike the brand, I just prefer not to have many different brand names spelled out on the the same reel... I have some "Megabass" knobs ...

Re: An Introduction to the Bait Finesse System (BFS) and Recommended Tackle
Nice job, HWK! X2 Joined at a similar time - date and fishing evolution wise. Love baitcast tackle. Love trout fishing. BFS is the way to go. While BFS may have a close association with bass fishing, BFS/UL baitcast tackle is also great (fun) for trout... And BFS tackle can be used in so many insta...

Re: Megabass Triza : The True Measure of a Travel Stick?
I been looking into the lighter BFS versions. Your review seems to be pushing me closer to getting one I like the Aeollo. Beautiful rod with good action for the trout fishing I do with spinners, spoons and sinking minnows. I bet it will also be great with topwater and crankbaits as suggested by the...

Zander, thank you very much for that very in-depth reply. I have nothing to add really, except the “big thanks”, and that I get what you are saying. Also, are there truly people out there who do not want to know the spool weight

Re: One for the Enthusiasts: The Shimano Antares A70 Baitcaster with MGIII
Thank you for the review. I will ask you to consider this (your own words) in relation to the many TT reviews: “It is always amusing to me when I watch some youtube videos of cast comparisons, or see arguments about how far reels cast, and whether one can out-cast another, and how max casting distan...

Re: SVS infinity braking system - Birthday wishlist
We will never sell just the brake block since we cannot verify the installation and performance if installed incorrectly. . I can get my hands on many official Shimano spare parts. The installation and performance of all these parts cannot be verified by Shimano. In that respect, the brake block (o...

Re: SVS infinity braking system - Birthday wishlist
Thank you very much for your reply :-) I would like to buy SVS brake units in order to put them on Avail or KTF spools for easier spool exchange while on fishing trips. For some time now, I have tried to acquire the SVS brake unit for the Aldebaran, 15 Conquest, and Met MGL. I am interested in the w...

SVS infinity braking system - Birthday wishlist
I recently turned 39. My wishlist was: 1: World peace (eternal) 2: Clean drinking water and food for all 3: A cure for cancer 4: An end to the antibiotic resistance crisis 5: That I may give an agreeable sum of money to a company that I love - Shimano - for an SVS infinity braking system (without ha...

Re: Shimano Re-Ignites Their Shining Star : The 2015 Aldebar
Totally spot on review though with BFS tackle 1/8 oz is easily achievable. I agree. As always, some 1/8 oz baits are easier to throw than others... Spoons, spinners, crankbaits, no sweat. I was getting good distance with the rapala ultra light minnow 4. My brother has been recommending that bait as...
