Re: pros/cons, steez sv tws, us or jdm model?

I'm not arguing I'm debating .I think the fishing industry as a whole could benefit from this. You'd be gone in a heart beat if it was up to me. Reading what you have posted took away roughly 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back, there's no debating on that one (yes only 5 minutes because I ski...

Re: pros/cons, steez sv tws, us or jdm model?

You'll get more lemons if you buy a jdm reel over a USD reel.Quality control for USD reels is more severe than jdm reels. Unsubstantiated blanket statement. It doesn't make sense. The north american/USDM market is where they sell the most reels, why would they sell us reels with looser tolerances?I d...

Mine is pretty basic: Megabass Monoblock Megabass Lin10 Daiwa Steez Daiwa TD-Z Shimano Antares HG Of those 5 models I currently have 40 reels. 41! Wait, what? You have 41 variations of those 5 platforms? 42, I guess... Hadn't thought of it this way but I could fish a different monoblock every day f...

Re: Man Caves and Tackle Rooms

That bench looks amazing...name pls? Or did you customize it yourself? It's made from shelves, you can find at HD, Menards, and Costco. The company is called Edsal (though they sell rebranded versions too). It's steel frame, holds a boatload, and is easy together easy apart. If you are a member at ...

Re: Man Caves and Tackle Rooms

Thanks Robsone, but I'm in the north woods of Minnesota. Reminds me of Sound Garden lyrics to outshined, "looking California, but feeling Minnesota..." It's a work in progress, I'll keep updating the thread. I built some shelves this weekend and have to get a proper table top set up. Then ...

Re: The hot girl at the end of the bar... Tatsu

I ran 20lb Tatsu on a Chronarch Ci4+ for a while and it's by far the best fluoro I've ever used. I think it has between 15 and 17lb diameter, but it seems smaller. It has a completely different feel to it, and casts better than mono in the same diameter. It's amazing stuff, just wish I could afford...

Re: Go to jigs for largemouth

rodstrainer This! I ordered all of Dirty Jigs OD flipping, Skinny Bear Griz, and Dink's Flippin'-Pitchin jigs, looking for living rubber backed by a gammy hook. Where to start: Cheapest (of the three). Hand Tied (with wire). Rattles included. Awesome finish (paint/details). True "heavy" g...

Re: 50 or 60 lb Sufix FX2 Froggin' braid

You mean Sunline FX2? I have both 50 and 60lb... I bought what was on sale at the time. I don't think you can go wrong with either, it's pretty granular to get into ~85% lb strength differences. I just pulled them both out and you can "see" the difference in diameter (especially with the 8...

Re: Anyone here fish Walleye?

Anyone here like to target walleye? Bass doesn't open here until June, but walleye and pike are open pretty soon here. I am going for walleye next weekend and was wondering what's a good technique for walleye? Can you guys catch and release bass until June, or what would DNR do to you if you let sa...

Re: Anyone here fish Walleye?

Well if you're river fishing blind (or possibly at the mouth in woods bay?) I would bring some crankbaits and troll locations where the water changes temp or clarity. I'd probably bring some heavier live bait style jigs and bounce them off the bottom while drifting too. You're far enough south that ...
