Reel for XXX Black Themis
Hey guys, I have a new Black Themis on the way soon from Gary at TTT. I am planning on using is as kind of a mag BFS setup if you will. Nothing extremely light, mostly 1/8 jig plus keitech, tubes, ned rigs, weightless 4" senko. I was going to go with a Scorpion BFS or Alphas Air but the line capacit...

Re: scorpion bfs
Is this reel based on the Curado 70 size or the 200 size frame? Debating picking one up. Any input on its performance?

Re: Do I need a Oneten Special?
I have that same Adrena with a Core 50 on it. I can't imagine a better jerkbait setup. Get a different Destroyer for your arsenal.

Re: Spining Rod Opinions
Canga, what ultimately made you go with the LE? Also, have you fished a M St. Croix?

Re: Spining Rod Opinions
Thanks for the reply. That sounds exactly like what I am looking for. Still, the LEMLXF got glowing reviews from Cal. Your assessment on the MF vs MXF is spot on to me. The MF feels like a completely different rod. Since they are the same blank I ust assumed it was due to the tip. The XF is much mor...

Spining Rod Opinions
Hey guys, I am looking for some opinions on a new spinning rod. I currently have two St. Croix, a 7' MF Avid X and a 68MXF Avid, and a 68M Crucial drop shot rod. I prefer the regular Avid with the XF tip over the X. I am looking for something to be my primary spinning rod to be paired with a 2500 St...

Core 50MG7 with a 610M Adrena for me. Light as a feather and really fit perfectly together.

Re: Add bearings to curado 70
Do these bearings fit other Shimano handles or other parts as well?

Re: New Curado 70
I agree completely with Booty. I originally set mine to two brakes on and 1 on the dial and I couldnt cast at all. Turned everything all the way up and backed down slowly and all is well. The brakes are much less agressive. Just from my first day using it it really reminds me of the 50E. Very solid ...

Re: Your opinions..SS SV vs regular Steez
I had an SSSV and sold it upon getting it. Never even spooled it. Felt very hollow and plasticy to me. The Shimano Ci4 isnt as bad as the Zaion to me but either way I just prefer metal reels.

Re: TD-Z Owners Guild
I have yet to own one of these but its on my list. Which one should I look for first? (To fish and not just as a collection piece) I have had Alphas, Steez, and PXR but never a TDZ.

Re: Conquest 100hg came in (size comparison)
I have actually bought this reel from the OP. I must say that it is an amazing piece of machinery. A true work of art. I have not got to fish it but just holding it, it is by far the nicest reel I have ever had. If you are a tackle junky like most of us here, you owe it to yourself to at least try o...
