#1 is definitely normal.
#2 I imagine thats possible but I think you might just be tinkering with the reel in a way its not designed to be.

Re: Steez Ltd
One of the best looking reels ever made. I had one when they were in production and regretfully I sold it.

Re: Ordering tackle from japan
All of the above mentioned are great. Most of my jp business has gone to jpangler and digitaka. Yet to have an unfavorable experience with ordering jdm stuff from jp. I have actually said I feel like they are very honorable in thier business doings. I have almost always faired the best financially w...

Re: What's your favorite Daiwa Steez model?
For the techniques stated, I usually go for more reels that would be known or classified as "workhorses". Curados/Scorpions, chronarchs ect. I had a steez sv ltd amd it was very nice, almost too nice especially considering the $$ they pull now. The paint job amd accents on the ltd is one of the fine...

Re: Presso AGS 60L-B
Very nice. I had a alphas air but sold before ever using it. It is truly a tiny reel. I used to think the Alphas and Pixies were small until I used the 16 Aldebaran BFS XG. I recently got an Alphas Air and I thought it felt huge. Its got to be the best bang for your buck finesse reel. Super smooth ...

Completely agree about the cork/eva combo. One of the primary reason ALX never got any of my money.

Re: Better start with 2016 Shimano Ci4+ Stradic
Well I received the 2016 Ci4+ back from Shimano service on Friday and it is not much better than when I sent it in, you can tell it has been greased it is stiff cranking now but... it still has the knocking and that odd tightening up while reeling, I spooled it up and was planning to hit the water ...

Even though I am not a fan of the t-wing, overall the new steez is probly the best looking yet. Especially on that beautiful stick

Re: Shimano Scorpion?
Not really sure what your asking about having other reels, im not a dealer and am not currently parting with any reels. As far as the smoothness I would expect a but more refinement from a met I suspect our Russian friend is asking if the scorpion 70's retrieve compares to other shimanos you own. O...

Whatever the most shimano you can get for the 100 bucks would be my vote. If you do your homework you should end up with a nice reel for your money

Re: Shimano Scorpion?
I have had the xt1000, and have 2 of the 70s. The xt is a phenomenal reel in every way. The new 70s have to be the best looking scorpion to date. The finish is outstanding, with a red fleck in black paint. Only thing I would have done different is the same idea but with different colors. The black a...
