Re: Rarenium vs Twin Power decision
Bump. I'm faced with the same decision. Rarenium 3000HG vs Twin Power 3000XG. Has anyone had a chance to handle these reels yet?

2015 Shimano Twin Power
Has anybody picked up this reel yet? It looks really nice, thinking about picking up the 3000XG model from jpls for my Orochi XX. Would I be better off saving $80 on rarenium c14+? I'd get a Stradic FK but it sounds like it won't be out in time for a fishing trip I'm taking in early July. ;) I know ...

Re: New Megabass Rods
Digging those new ITS reel seats! I know me too. Can't wait to try it out, looks comfortable. I'm not a huge fan of the reel seat design on the old x7, this one looks a lot better. I agree. Love the look of the open seat but it's just too uncomfortable with most reels. Interesting, I feel like the ...

Re: Show off your Megabass rods...
Sacrilege or not, those are some slick combos  The most famous Megabass sponsor used Shimano reels exclusively. That definitely says something. I mean lets face it every MB spinning rod deserves a Stella and the Aldebaran platform is just fantastic. Aaron isn't sponsored by megabass anymore ...

And I agree shimano reels, like daiwas, are perfect for megabass rods, all my MB's have shimanos on them. Don't ge...

Cool. Think I'm going to go with the shakeyhead if that's the only difference between the new and old. Have any pics of the combo?cndbasshunter wrote:I have the old with a c3000 and it's loads of fun. I use for DS mostly. The newer xx is tad stronger tip.

Re: 2 Megabass Orichi XX spinning rods?
Bump. I was going to start a new topic but remembered this one. I don't need two any more (pulled the trigger on a jackall poison adrena 6'6" light) but I still need a spinning rod for the heavier stuff like 1/4 ounce dropshot rigs, tubes, and shakeyheads. I'm guessing the shakeyhead is what I'm loo...

Awesome! ThanksDavidSA wrote:should be perfect match! I use 12lb on the 803c NRX and 16 to 20 on the 894. The 893 has a softer tip to me then my 803 and should protect that 12# line.

NRX 893c and 12 lb fluoro
Hey guys i've been considering getting an 893 for a long time, I think I'm finally going to make the jump. However I'm wondering if its the right rod for me. Does this rod protect 12 lb sunline sniper (8lb mono diameter) well enough? I'm just wondering because it seemed a little stiffer than expecte...

Re: Glx vs poison adrena vs orochi xx?
I went into tackle warehouse today and held the glx and poison adrena. Honestly I was disappointed with the glx and Nrx. I know they're probably the most sensitive rods on the market, but the balance was way off compared to the dobyns dx, adrena, and orochi xx. The champion swimbait balanced better ...
