Re: Alternate pitching/jigging rod?
Well after giving the omen another shot (and still hating it) I went with the savy until I snapped it last weekend. Went to a local tackle shop yesterday and tried out the Loomis 6x rods paired with a concept a reel but the combination was extremely tip heavy ended up buying another Phoenix in a 7` ...

Re: Alternate pitching/jigging rod?
Thanks for the reply. I've never owned a fenwick but you have me looking. I'm trying to decide between the phenix and dobyns right now since I own them already. I tried using the omen this wknd but just doesn't do it for me. I bought that rod after reading how great it was for $100 and thought it wo...

Alternate pitching/jigging rod?
I usually like to pitch with a 7'6" rod but I'm in a situation where I need a shorter rod that will double as a jig rod. What rod would you choose off of this list (since I really don't want to buy another at this time )but feel free to list what you would use since I might bite the bullet and buy a...

Re: Ultralight Reel Suggestion
I've got higher end reels but I always seem to go back to a Sahara. Just an all around great reel IMO .

Re: Best cranking finese baitcaster
I'll look around for the spool you recommended also. Not hard to figure out I'm new to the jdm thing and reel upgrades in general. I didn't have a clue about this stuff until recently and can see the obsession growing already.

Re: Finese crankbait rod?
I prefer a 6:6 rod usually for crankbaits in general but lately I've been using a falcon lowrider topwater 7ft rod for lighter baits it works but looking around for something different/ better. I also use a stcroix premier crankbait rod (can't remember the rating) but to me it lacks backbone. I will...

Finese crankbait rod?
In or around $200 what would be your choice for a finese crankbait casting rod? I currently use a stcroix premiere but thinking about a new setup. Lure weight would be 1/4 ounce or so

Best cranking finese baitcaster
I have limited myself to a $250 reel budget and a $200 rod budget. I currently have 2 50e curados and 1 core 50 size reel. I was looking at the 50 size chronarch but have been thinking about a jdm reel just to try out. So if you could only pick 1 which would it be? Shimano alde, scorpion, or diawa p...

I own some of all the above mentioned baits but you can't beat the kvd series for price and productivity.

The giron is the only one on the list that I have and although I'm a big jackall fan I never had much luck with this one
