Re: Which rod for a Abu Garcia 5600 Ext?
Total weight is 1/4-1/2 like mirrolures etc. I have been doing fine with the spinning gear and got the reel at a good price. May just sale the new reel and get another Termar spinning rod.

Which rod for a Abu Garcia 5600 Ext?
This rod will be used inshore in the salt and love the Shimano Termar series since i have two spinning rods. This is my first bait caster and I am not sure the Abu will even hold up to the salt. Thoughts on the reel in salt and the rod choices for throwing 1/4-1/2 baits.

YETI
I own a Yeti 65 and it has been a great cooler and worth every dime to me. With that said I just purchased a Orca 40. Why did I go Orca? Yeti: Made in the Philippines and 5 year warranty Orca: Made in the USA and lifetime warranty While I feel neither will fail me I feel Orca beleives in their produ...

I have a could of Abu Garcia 4007lp that are still in the box and they were high when they hit the market b...

Re: No more Lifetime Warranty- Shimano Rods
I love my rods and will most likely continue to buy the models I like. I heard about them discontinuing the warranty a couple of weeks ago but have not had any issues to date. I also have several TFO rods with the lifetime warranty and all they ask is $35 and ship it back. No issues there either. Do...

That is a great fish if you were on light tackle.
Re: What line
I have gone to 10lb Fins Windtamer braid with about 6ft of Floro on all 6 of my inshore spinning rods. No Windknots and you can cast a mile. Never just breaks for no reason like mono due to age etc.

Re: I Need Help Choosing a Inshore Reel!
Shimano spinning reel for sure. Go to your local dealer and tell him your budget and look at Shimano. The Penn Battle is the former Pfluger metalist with I was not a big fan of. I have two battles but they are on big live bait rods. For trout flounder and drum the 2500 size is perfect with about 8lb...

Check out the Abu Garcia 4007lp if you can find one. They can be found under $100.

Re: Tips buying and selling with Paypal and their fees
I have been using Paypal since pre-ebay ownership and you have touched every point I can think of. Its a great tool to send and receive payments safely. The gift option helps the seller and the seller needs to have the fee priced in on here.

Re: Daiwa Spinning Reel Spools
I have found if you go past this the line seems to slip off and create tangles and knots. I stop at that edge and have no issues.

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?
I have used Penn, Pfluger, Okuma and Shimano. I have had less line twist and wind nots using Shimano with Fins Windtamer line. It may be the line also but I will not use anything but Shimano from now on.

Re: KVD 8.0 Magnum Squarebill
I agree, the waters I fish have white perch that the bass regularly feed on. I go big and also go small with road runners. Depends on what forage fish I am seeing.
