Re: TT Reels Shootout - Getting Complacent?

Some of the points that shimano won on I can't see them holding the same importance to consider a win. Plus ergonomics is completely biased. It can be drastically different from one person to the next. I love how my tatulas fit my hands and seeing as the zillion is the same I should be equally happ...

Re: Megabass XX EMTF Lure rating

Hello, I've been reading up on this rod, and I'm getting the impression that it might be underpowered for baits at the high end of the lure rating (1 oz). Can someone please tell me if this rod can handle a 3/4 oz jig with trailer? If so, is that as heavy as you'd go? Thanks! If you are throwing th...

I've been looking at those. Are they a good quality hook and a compact size?

Re: Major Craft is coming to the US!

I've been wanting to get a BFS rod and I think that the 6'10M nanoace might be it!

Re: Inline Spinners

I've had a lot of success with inline spinners especially for river smallmouth. In my experience the best size is a #4 blue fox in silver and I replace the hook with a slightly larger better quality treble hook. I prefer to fish them on spinning gear because the line seems to twist a lot on casting ...

I second that, for sure would love a Bearing Down XX.
I wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of a Eiger Northwall XX or a The Griffon XX at some point too.
The xx line up definitely needs a finesse rod or two!

Re: Finesse flip jigs

How small do you want to go? The keitech Guard Spin jig with a 2" Netbait paca chunk is deadly. The keitech casting jig model 1 is great too if you want something a little bigger with a stouter hook.

Re: Diablo Spec R vs. Spinnerbait Special

Any suggestions if I went another route and use the EMTF for spinnerbaits and got a square bill/medium crank rod? Flat Side Special! X2 if you go that route. EMTF can definatley handle spinnerbaits. Well I think it's going to be the Flat Side Special. The EMTF and Diablo SR are almost the same rod ...

Diablo Spec R vs. Spinnerbait Special

I'm having trouble deciding on a new Spinnerbait rod. The rod will also see use with jigs, trigs, and chatterbaits, nothing over 3/8. I'm looking for a 5th rod to round out my line up wich so far includes EMTF, Tour Versatile, Jig n' Worm, and the Ronin. I fish a river system and a few lakes that on...
