The reel seat is smooth and very comfy. Trigger seems to be placed well and is not overly large.. more on the minimal side.

The tip top is not Recoil.

How's the reel seat? Is it like the current Edge rods? I didn't like the rough carbon texture I felt when they had the Black Widow on display at a show. Im wishing it's like a Madbull, but I might of been unimpressed with how unbalanced and heavy it was and may need a second feel of it.

I recalled weighing the 7ft 1in MH around 3.1 oz. The 69 might be a tad lighter. Beware of Phenix rod powers. MH are M, H are MH, both MH and H rods were too soft for my liking. The XH though is a hidden gem in the lineup.
