Re: Rod for Zonda

I have the same reel with the purple accents and had a Powell Endurance 723 laying around so I put it on that since it color coordinates for now.

One day it'll be on the Megabass Destroyer Legend Works LTD "The Gambler" 30th...it has some purpleish accents

Re: Megabass Destroyer Javelin?

This was my first of many Megabass rods and is still one of my favorites and most versitile. It was the only high end rod I owned for about 3 months and all I used. I have used it extensivly for bottom contact, lipless cranks, mid-depth cranks, swim jigs, smaller swimbaits (<1.5oz), chatterbaits an...

welcome and I recommend you put a small counter balance on that 894 unless your 25 years old. I use a chair leg protector with 3 quarters. makes the rod feel lighter then feather by balancing it.

Haven't been 25 for 15 years, but I will try it. :crying:

Your line preference for casting model NRX?

I have a 894c. I have owned it for quite a bit, but actually haven't used it much based on my time of ownership. I am finally going to start putting hours into it. I will be using it for texas rigs and jigs from the bank in the typical Florida lakes and ponds filled with grass. I had it paired with ...

Re: Best Jig Rod for $200

Lots of great options in this thread. You can also check out Powell, the Endurance line has a many options on their site and tackle warehouse (with breakdown on techniques/lure choices) and they are $150 or less. The rods are also sub 4oz if you want something light weight.

Went Powell. It's less expensive across the board than the Loomis you want which is a win and I'm sure you you'd probably have to go up a few models and spend more to get the equivalent of the Endurance in performance.

Re: New Powell Endurance line coming

Picked up the 765 Mag MH (3/8-3oz) on sale from TW

I have a Curado i on it until I get the DC, it balances pretty well.

Took about 20 casts with it so far, pleased with it for the money as my do it all bank rod for now.

Re: New Powell Endurance line coming

the balance That's one thing I really liked about the 723, it balanced well with so many of my reels. I finally left a Megabass Zonda on it since they share a similar color scheme. The one thing I didn't like was the exposed threads on the reel seat, which can be rough on the fingers depending how ...

Re: New Powell Endurance line coming

I'm excited. I only had 1 of the older models and I like it a lot. 723c was great. The new models are all listed as sub 4oz http://www.powellco.com/Endurance-Series-rods Spinning https://s9.postimg.org/r1pliuidr/Screen_Shot_2017-12-24_at_9.03.28_AM.png Casting https://s9.postimg.org/m4c0xh0wf/Screen...
