Re: ztcsmd: Feedback Request Topic
Another positive vote Sam. He purchased one of my Ito's and the payment was quick and good communication throughout the transaction. Thanks Sam.

Re: basscattrent: Feedback request topic
I bought a new, unused rod from Trent and the price was great and I received it in a couple days from California to Chicago. I was almost more impressed with his care and packaging of the rod than the rod itself. Thanks Trent.

line question
I need to respool a few dropshot reels and hate wasting the unused line on filler spools that isn't enough for another reel. If I buy a bulk spool, will the unused line on the spool keep over the winter months? It would be stored inside. Almost forgot, it would be flourocarbon line.

Re: A few bass fishing questions.
I don't have all the answers but I can try and help. Bass Pro (and others) sell inserts to peg the weight. It is like a rubber toothpick that tapers from fat to thin. Slide it into the weight and pull tight, pinch off the excess and weight is pegged. I don't think braid would negatively affect the a...
Re: POWELL
I replied to you in the PM (I think that's what it's called), but to summarize for all, great rod. I have not used it with spinnerbaits but I love the feel and power of it for soft plastics. I have a Steez on it and love it.

Re: SMAK Bearings
Not yet. I'm in the winter aquiring mode. It will be late March or April before I get line on the reels and clean the dust off.

Re: SMAK Bearings
Thanks. I actually just received new bearings for the Viento so I will just keep the stock spool. May switch the handle on the red tune, not sure yet.

Re: SMAK Bearings
Kbookert, I can't read the language for the spool you posted on page 2. Do you know if it fits on a Viento and where did you purchase from? Also, do you know if there are any carbon fiber handles available for the red tune? Thanks. Jim

Re: part # help
Thanks ChuckE. I didn't think I was looking at the schematic correctly. I'll see if that part is available.

Re: part # help
I've been tied up with work. The gold part is over top of the worm gear, behind/above the line guide. I read off an english version for a different reel and I think it is a front plate. Does that sound right? Kayo said Daiwa still has parts available for the td-ito, I just want to make sure it is th...

part # help
Moisture in my rod locker caused the gold paint to flake off my td-ito 103hl on the front plate, I think that's what it is called. It's the gold part at the top of the reel where the line feeds down to the spool. Kayo at japantackle has the part cheap, I just want to make sure I'm ordering the right...

Re: bearing removal
Thanks guys. I should have stated, but you got it, it is for Daiwa's. Just planning ahead for winter. Gonna be mid 60's this week so I'm not ready to take them apart just yet. I like the plastic bag tip. Thanks again.

bearing removal
I've seen the posts on removing the spool pin bearing and was just wondering if there are any tips to removing the bearing in the side plate. It looks like an octagon shaped retainer ring holds it in place. Is it easy to remove and get back in? Thanks.

Re: Diawa TDZ Question
Diezel, what you have pictured is the fairly new high speed Zillion. I think it is along the lines of the TD-X. I have not used one, but there are user comments on here. The new TD-Z model is the Steez and goes for about $450. ChuckE did an excellent review of it. I think you can get to it from the ...
