Re: What’s the craziest topwater blowup you’ve had?
Mine was on a miscast over shallows into low hanging tree limbs, just missed my target, off enough to catch braid on adjacent limb. Short story, recognized it, taught line to avoid wrapping, gave it a slow hop to ready a drag/whip back through when one came straight and nailed it midair limbs snappi...

Re: Guides wrapped on the spine of the blank
What I was taught is the spline (or spine call it whichever) ... Spline: a thin wood or metal strip used in building construction. 2 : a key that is fixed to one of two connected mechanical parts and fits into a keyway in the other also : a keyway for such a key. Spine: a series of vertebrae extend...

Re: Guides wrapped on the spine of the blank
What I was taught is the spline (or spine call it whichever) is the strongest part and, therefore, most durable. It does not matter if guides are placed on top, spiral, bottom, all irrelevant to durability. If dual spline then side by side (it happens), single spline up top, no exception. I, too, fe...

Re: First Swimbait Combo
I’ll try to offer some assistance. I do not know those rods, but from what you provide I can offer opinion on what might best serve you. Look, I’m sure we all agree tackle is subjective, but for whatever general purpose might be a mod/fast taper is a good place to start. In my experience, a true fas...

Re: Rod Is Probably the Most Important for Topwater (or Any Style of Fishing)
Irony at it’s finest… There are only so many ways to do the same thing and fishing is no different. It’s mass you seek. Mass moves mass. It's physics. I’m probably going to get counter argument to this, but way I see things is even if we manage to find taper and handle, but blank is too light, then ...

Re: **The Movie Jaws**
Oh, about FIFTY. I was lucky enough as a child to see it in theater when it came out, things were so different then. A massive theater, not the subcompact rooms they use now to offer dribble. Back then movies were a big event, half the folks dressed up, people smoking everywhere, ash trays on every ...

Re: F vs XF
Some who know me understand why I'm writing this, and I'm going to be nice about it, but the only reason to use a true rated XF is light wire single point presentation. Literally no other reason on Earth. The feedback is amplified, if ever so slightly, but everything from playing to landing is somew...

Re: LIN10
Origin is perhaps my most coveted of all. It's strictly a 1.5oz plus deep cranker for me, eats it up with ease. Only available in lefty though, lucky me. Zirconia Meteor a beauty, same for Black Jungle. They all see use, but not too much, as I intend to keep them as long as I walk this planet.

Re: Credit Card Compromised at TackleWarehouse
Y'all better check your PayPal's too! I just got hit with two unauthorized charges for $500 that only showed up on my bank statement coincidentally the day I use PayPal to check out on tackle warehouse. Ugh!!!! Anyone experience the same? I've said it a dozen times to others; don't use paypal for p...

Re: Please Help
Yes. Simply place it in an appropriate box, safely placed for shipping, same box the replacement arrived in is fine, and bring it with the label to P.O. or shipping outlet or whatever near you. The label is prepaid meaning it costs you nothing. It's on their dime. And for what it's worth I lost coun...
