Re: Tatula 9.1:1 gears

Not sure if the JDM Zillion SV TW 9.1 gears will fit or not. I know the spool shaft on the Tatula may make it non-compatible. The frame and junk are the same size

Re: Anyone tried the Aldebaran MGL?

Fishing the Aldebaran MGL now... it's a nice reel but it is not a low profile version of the Conquest. That distinction goes to Antares. Perhaps I should take a look at the Antares. After using the Calcuttla Conquest BFS Hg all my other reels feel geary......... Coming from a Daiwa guy, the Antares...

Re: Long distance spool for sv103

So all the references to the 1016, is referring to the T3 RCS 1016 spool, correct? This one...? https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=898_660_655&products_id=3491&zenid=970f082cb24abdf7f74ad7681abcfdaa more often than not, yes, that is what is being referenced. I...

Re: Deciphering Daiwa Model numbers

Can be confusing. Adding to the rat'so nest, 105 could be the SV105 (Alphas) or...the 105 sized SV spool for say a Steez are different. Both are shallower than a lot of spools in their lineup but, aren't compatible. Ithe gets easier to understand as you learn what reels are based off of what frames....

Re: What do you daiwa guys use to bomb lures?

I got a modded RSC 1016 spool in mine. Pitches very free and allows me to RIP baits with little effort. Definitely can't handle light baits without an educated thumb.

Shimano bought G. Loomis back in 1997, almost 20 years ago now.

the NRX is not discontinued.

There is some confusion as to if the MBR rods in the NRX line are discontinued. The JWR tapers definitely aren't discontinued.

Re: Chronarch 50E or Curado K?

Stock vs stock my 70's out perform my curado/core 50's. New brake system let's a person lighten the brake profile much more than the over braked vbs 50's. Xship is also a huge quite noticeable improvement to the outdated 50's. I had a Chronarch 51e for a while and I thought it was overbraked or und...

Re: Single barbless hook - front or back?

I've put them all at the back, next up are spinners and spoons. what a pain in the a$$ handling those super small rings and crazy sharp hooks....and I stabbed myself a few times. I'm going to test the baits today in a tank and see if they need any extra weight up front. I gotta say, those #8 ...
