Definitely Tranx 300. It's the next gen 300E.

The USDM Met MGL is 150 size, and JDM MGL is 70 sized spool.

Re: Steez reel spool original equipment
Usdm Steez SV103. SV TW has the same line capacity so I'm assuming it's a 103, though designated as 1016. Nah, it has different inductor from last generation. Are you comparing the inductor on the Steez SV103 spool and the Steez SV TW spool? What does that have to do with the 103 designation? OP is...

Re: [kroe-nark] : Casting Reel ... 1. must have
Shimano seems to be getting some extra love from TT lately. Seeing this review so soon, while Daiwa zillion sv tws, Tat CT, steez sv Tws and the SV103(which has already came & went) still haven't gotten a review :-k Daiwa no longer sends TT reels for free, while Shimano still do. Factors a lot into...

Re: Light spoon and jig casting - centrifugal or magnetic?
Spoons are basically little casting weights for reels. You aren't going to run into trouble so I will go with centrifugal to maximize the distance. Why do centrifugal brake reels cast further than magnetic brake reels? Serious question. Not being argumentative. I use dual braking (gold colored Carb...

Re: Reel Gear Physics
People want to talk, when they don't understand physics   So help a brother out, what is it's name? I was not referring to you with my previous comment. I just find the people who are hellbent on calling this leverage over torque to be hilarious. Leverage is the effect of output force bei...

There are many R18s, R18 Fluoro Limited is Tatsu.Prancing Pony wrote:So R18 = JDM Tatsu?IAY wrote:Shooter FC Sniper. I have tried R18 Fluoro Limited (JDM Tatsu) but I like Shooter FC Sniper far better, much better smoother coating, and the 8-12 lb range is softer than R18.

Re: Reel Gear Physics
It definitely adds leverage. Exactly. The longer wrench does not add torque, it reduces the amount of force required to achieve the same amount of torque through leverage. There is no leverage in reels and there is no leverage in wrench. Leverage requires an object to exist past the fulcrum, you ar...

Re: Reel Gear Physics
Adding a longer handle is not changing the torque of the reel. Adding a longer handle only makes it easier to apply the same amount of torque to the input shaft. The amount of torque applied to the spool is a direct result of the gear ratio. In other words a 100 lbs of torque is a 100 lbs of torque...
