Dynamic Lures Jerkbaits

I submitted PTO on Friday, December 12th and hit the River for a change of pace. I've been ice fishing a lot lately but with a warm snap hitting the Midwest we capitalized on it and fished some open water. Most fish came on Jerkbaits and all of mine came on Dynamic Lures (J-Spec and Travado). I need...

Re: KVD Series Squarebills in the Fall?

I really like the square bills in the fall and it may sound strange but I have them to cover all water columns. I use the Manns 1 minus for ultra shallow work and running over remaining weeds, then I use the Baby X parallel to the shore as it dives right to the 2' depth. I will use the DT Fat 3 whe...

KVD Series Squarebills in the Fall?

When it comes to Fall Bass fishing I often turn to Crankbaits to put fish in the boat. Often times I find myself throwing a lipless crankbait, DT-6 or DT10 but a friend reminded me that Squarebill's can be deadly in the fall as well. The fishing was slow on this particular day but I was able to mana...

Awesome video
Very true! That's why the big ones tend to cooperate a bit more because you have tired them out more by the time they reach the boat.

Kayak Fishing Fail

I got out over Labor Day Weekend to target some Bass from my kayak when something ridiculous happened. I thought I would share...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayaz90ZDCCk

Re: Video: Deep School of Bass

That is a bummer man! I know what you mean about powerboaters and jet skies tearing up the weeds but it sounds like its not as bad up here. This lake doesn't receive much traffic due to the shallow launch and it being smaller. I've had some lakes/areas this summer that have had a lot of floating wee...

Is that Seadek? That stuff looks nice, I'm determining if I want to put some on my kayak or not.

Video: Deep School of Bass

I was able to sneak in some fishing over Labor Day weekend. I took the kayak and the St. Croixs out to a lake I haven't been on in 10 years. The water was quite clear so the shallows were choked out with weeds. The DNR was actually out spraying Milfoil that same day. I found a deep weedline where th...

Favorite Chatterbait?

What is everyone's favorite Buzzbait? I am going to make it a point to fish these more this season. They have been around for a while now but I always seem to throw a Spinnerbait or Swim Jig in it's place. There is definitely a time and place for these and I'm looking to dial that in this year. I pi...

Re: Rigging tips, tricks, ideas ...

Good tips! I might do the same with the foam padding! My OK seat is pretty thin on the bottom. I rigged an Anchor Trolley on mine as well but I never seem to use it.

Transducer will be in rear mounted via ram mount with suction cup. Hopefully it works out.
I hope it does too! That thing will be a beast on that kayak!

Re: Let's see your YAKS!

I love seeing everyone's different kayaks and how they rig them. Different strokes for different folks! And some nice fish too!
