Re: Is the new Zillion the best reel made in a decade?
I love the newer Sv Boost spools on these zillions, doesn't overbrake like the previous Sv spools, imo. Brass gear has held up well on my yearly reel service. I enjoy the clicker drag when fish is peeling line too. Just a joy to palm/fish. Hopefully the paint holds up..... And it casts way better th...

Re: JDM v. Domestic Metanium
Sorry to bump this up but I'm trying to find out the weight of the JDM Metanium 20 spool. 13.8g for the Jdm and 14.2g for the Usdm. Just got 1 more of each, so no line on the spool yet. 1st Usdm Met20 for me, will see if i like it more or not. I too prefer the thinner knobs on the jdm. And the 5mm ...

Shimano Pitbull X8 / X12 & Mission Complete braid
Has any used Shimano Pitbull X8 / X12 or Mission Complete braid? Stats make it seem very thin, curious about the abrasion resistance bc it's so thin. Does it have any waxy coating? Is line round? Impressions please. Only TT has the best dark side gear junkies who try it all. Thanks in advance All.

The 2021 Zillion Sv Tw still isn't posted on the Jdm daiwa website even though it's already on sale on jdm tackle sites. Been looking for more detailed specs before buying.....

Anyone know if there will be a new scorpion 70 available in Japan? Shimano japan website still doesn't show it, which is rare.

Re: New 2020 Shimano Metanium
I just noticed on the shimano japan site that the Conquest 100 has the same line capacity in meters as the 2020 Metanium that is "suppose" to be a 70. Maybe the new Met is a 100? Not sure lol.shimanogloomis man wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 3:00 amThanks I’d rather have the larger spool , looks like I’ll go with the US model . Thanks

Re: High end frog rod: heavy-ish surface veg
Just saw the STZ751MHHFB-AGS on the daiwa site pop-up, available in red only. Wondering how this rod feels. I haven't seen daiwa rate a rod power as MHH before either.... It feels amazing! I was actually throwing a paddle tail Keitech in the grass this weekend on that rod, along with 1/2 and 3/4 oz...

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
And not sure why they take an extra year to release the 7.1:1 gear ratios.... like they're doing with last year's Steez ct sv tw. Not releasing the popular high gear at the same time is the weirdest trend I've seen from Daiwa in a while.
Glad I'm passing on this one too.

Re: BANTMGL151XG spool removal
The spool just needs a harder pull than usual, and it comes right out. I was wondering the same thing when i first got my bantams 2 summers ago. The spool isn't stuck, that's just how it was on both my bantams.bassfisherman619 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:29 pmThank you. I can get the side plate off fine. It's the spool that won't come out.

i was hoping for some kind of steez rod surprise but no dice. it probably makes sense though, i started a whats next for daiwa thread in the rods section, and half the replies were about reels :laugh1: Ya i was surprised of no steez or zillion rod releases too, been so long since NA had a steez rod...

Re: Differences w/ Chronarch G vs MGL??
They cast pretty similar except the fact that the MGL spool is a few grams lighter so it can cast lighter lures. I have actually been very impressed with the MGL's finesse ability. The G has the same braking system and a slightly heavier spool, but that is mainly attributed to a metal considered mo...

Differences w/ Chronarch G vs MGL??
Does anyone own both Chronarch MGL and G? Does 1 cast better than the other? Any difference in spool weight or bearing type? Wondering what are the actual differences.... Shimano site says the G is saltwater safe, both weigh exactly the same, frame looks same except for color, etc etc. I own a chron...
