Re: Steez xt frog rod?

My local daiwa warranty center in Toronto told me the Steez XT is discontinued... I just snapped a MH XT, but now have to wait on what daiwa comes out with :(

Re: Ordering from Japan... Metanium MGL???

I would personally go with JapanLureShop. I ordered a Met Mgl on Mon June4 and it arrived Fri June8 in the morning, Japan to Canada. On top of the quick delivery, they included a FREE Megabass Vision 110 jerkbait as a gift \:D/ Note that the Met Mgl is overbraked vs the 13 Metanium in my opinion, b...

Re: Finish issues on newer Shimano baitcasters

I think it may be isolated to that 16 ald bfs.?.? I have 13 met's, met mgl, chronarch mgl, curado 71, all with no paint issues. And i also use gloves when it gets cold in fall. Fish twice a week from may to nov, np. My daiwa pixy, alpha sv, ss sv paint finishes don't hold up close to as well as the ...

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Has anyone tried casting lighter lure's on this yet like weightless senko's, 1/4 ounce plugs? I'm debating whether to pick up another Chronarch or Bantam. Has anyone here who owns the Bantam MGL casted any lighter plastics or crankbaits using 10 to 16 LB flurocarbon line?? Or can someone try a few ...

Re: First look at new Megabass Orochi XX rods

Bronzefly, much thanks for your input on Emtf. In my area, I don't get a chance to handle the rods before buying.... I'm glad they didn't change the EMTF into a strictly treble bait rod. When you fish it, do share.

Re: First look at new Megabass Orochi XX rods

Bronzefly, can you possibly comment on the Emtf you fished please? Can it still be used for bottom contact and plastics like the old Emtf? Or is it much more parabolic, specifically for crankbaits/moving baits? I'm hoping it is just as versatile as the older one i own... before ordering the new Emtf...

Re: Sunline FX2 froggin

Fx2 is much better than braided lines I've used in past. Used Fx2 for about 7 years now, and not changing anytime soon. It's nice and round, doesn't dig in, has good abrasion quality and knot strength is good. Color stays better than other brands also. I prefer the blue/green because it's easier to ...

Re: Shimano's newer braking

Metanium 13 SVS and Met MGL SVS are much more controlable imo. I personally like the 13 brakes more than MGL. The adjustable dial lets me cast in ANY changing wind and rain conditions. Sold all the VBS reels after trying my first Met13 and newer shimano reels ( and i was using VBS since the early ba...

Re: What rods do you thinks we'll see debut at the Classic?

It would sure be nice if we got USA Poison Adrenas. They did it before, why not again?? I hope the poison adrena makes it's way back to north america too. The "old" 172H adrena is a perfect all-around rod for me, and I'm hoping it never breaks.... And the adrena's won't break my bank like...

Re: Chatterbait rod

Poison Adrena 172H for me. The tip is just special for a "heavy" rated rod, has more of a jdm fast action imo. Hook up ratio for 1/2 and 3/4 oz has been better than previous rods used.

Duo Realis M65 8A and 11A, particularly in Mello Blaze color, chartreuse with orange belly.... :!: Very good hooks too. Slayed big walleyes, Lmb, and Smb at all times of day. I can't wait til it warms up

Thanks for the weblink Finnz, I'll follow it on that forum. I'm surprised Gary Dobyns doesn't post on TT to the terminally diseased crowd lol. Maybe it will seek too many "weird" inquiries :D
