Didn't want to hijack your thread but regarding the lens color, what's the difference between having a straight copper lens vs a copper base with mirrored finish?

looking to pick up a spinnerbait rod, looking at loomis website there's many models that lend themselves to fishing spinnerbaits. Anyone have any input on these new rods? The technique specific spinnerbait rod or jwr 803 or something in the classic mag lineup.

I searched for a better alternative, and ended up purchasing the Rod glove Pro Series, neoprene covers. These are second to none much better than anything else I've seen. Ended up buying 5 of them for my other costly rods.

Just finish updating my navionics chip and I wanted to know if its possible to load up my chip using some kind of software instead of hooking up the battery on my boat to power up the lowrance and test to make sure the chip was updated properly.

My NRX 852s just came in and I noticed it was shipped with an NRX rod cover. Was wondering what your thoughts are on it protection wise?

On my other rods I use the Rod Glove type covers and havent had a problem yet. Which ones do you feel will offer more protection?
