For hollow bodies I use Koppers and Booyah and for soft plastic, nothing beat a horny toad!

New High Speed Flipping Reel
I'm in the market for a new flipping reel. I've been looking at a couple reels but I haven't made up my mind yet. The first reel I was looking at is the Revo Rocket from Abu Garcia. 9.1:1 gear ratio, 37 IPT. Second reel I was eyeing is the 13 Fishing Concept, either A or C. 8.1:1 gear ratio, 32 IPT....

Re: Okuma Helios Air Vs. 13 Concept C
From using both reels I would have to go with the Concept. Both are great reels but the Concept handles better IMO. Also love the cork knobs. Can't really go wrong with either though.

Re: Swim Jig And Trailers
Bayou Bug Jigs swim jig. Works with almost any trailer you put on it. I usually use a skinny dipper as a trailer.

Re: what's everyone's most productive lure?
For me it's gotta be a jig. Whether it be a swim jig or a flipping jig I've always got one tied on. Swim jigs are one of the most versitile baits I have found. You can fish them anywhere; around docks, in grass and lily pads, along wood, literally anywhere.

Re: Team Lews Pro vs. 13 Concept "C"
Cannot speak to the Lew's Pro. I'm sure it's a very nice reel and performs great. I do have some experience with the Concept C. A very nice reel with plenty of little extras often missing on reels in it's price range. Performs like a champ also. !3 Fishing (with many years of reel maintenance exper...

Are you saying the lews is easier to palm?bkbz520 wrote:Don't be shy of the 13 reel I have picked up two of the A models and I am very impressed. The cast great and the retrieve is smooth as silk. I have also used the lews too and in my hands are equal if not easier to plam.

Team Lews Pro vs. 13 Concept "C"
I'm looking at getting a new reel for my Duckett rod and I am between the Team Lews Pro and the new 13 Fishing Concept "C" reel. The Concept is a bit cheaper but the Team Lews is a proven reel. Does anyone have any input in which one I should choose?
