Re: Kistler back to US made blanks
The ones I saw with us made blanks were the nitritanium and the salt series which is odd because I would think as cheap as they were compared to say a klx I'm surprised they have a US blank.

Kistler back to US made blanks
I see Kistler has several rods now with US made blanks, I wonder if they are back using NFC blanks or have someone new?

Re: Who do you fish with the Most ?
I have a whole crew, we frequently rent a house for a week and fish the big bend of Florida and take 3 or 4 boats. I do like to take my dad when I can and my wife will go some though she requires a more pampered trip. I will fish lake blackshear or farm ponds by myself.

Where did yours rust? My original type r tatula has been 100% saltwater use and it hasn't rusted, it just needs a new gear set.Salty Parrot wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 1:10 pmOk first the bubbling paint, now t wings rusting. Anyone else have that problem with their daiwas being used in salt?
Re: Rain Gear
I have a habit set that I fish in worse rainfall all the time with, I've never had a simms set, though. I had a frabill set for long time that did a great job but they have been discontinued.

Re: Anyone have any recent experiences with NFC?
I have had good luck with getting blanks from them with no issues, my issues have been with their completed products through edge.

Re: Saltwater safe baitcaster
I did have a new generation daiwa coastal that's now on the bottom of dead man's bay it was good but I prefer the new zillion in the salt vs the coastal for not much more money. The old coastal is a good reel, especially if you upgrade it and they were available for fairly cheap themselves. My first...

Re: My epitome is cursed
It was not in the rod locker, it was in the shop leaned up in the corner and the beaver was on a rod above it, that's my plan to cover in clear nail polish and fish it. It's never been anywhere other than lake blackshear and farm ponds so only freshwater. I did soak it in water overnight to make sur...

My epitome is cursed
Otherwise what's the odds of salt falling out of the hook hole in a sweet beaver on another rod and eating the frame of a steez limited?

Re: Daiwa Z2020SHL Issues
Sorry for taking so long. I was able to get the reel taken apart this morning and check on all the things you guys have told me to look at. The route of all this drama ended up being the pinion support bearing(the one under the CC knob). Thank you doomtrprz71 for sharing! The bearing was completely...
