Re: Help (megabass nerds) I'm stupid

This is the 2007 model so newer than the one in TT review.
Great flipping stick, I had the F7-77X Randy Blaukat model.

Re: Daiwa Certate not casting far

Measure the diameter of the spools (Tatula and Certate). If my memory is correct the new generation LT reels have smaller diameter spools so one needs to upsize. I was watching Seth Feider the other he is going for 4000 size reels since the new LT reels are much lighter and he is going for the bigge...

Re: Oneten stick jerkbaits

Hello, I looked on all the photos, the handle looks very long for a jerkbait rod. Does anyone know the handle length of the Oneten Stick from the end to the triggergrip? Ideally I would prefer around 12inch or less. Also does the Oneten stick has enough power to drive deep the Oneten R+1, 2,3? Thank...

Re: JDM bottom contact rod

I had used many amazing bottom contact rods: MB Destroyer - Super Destroyer F6-69X - super sensitive heavy jig rod for close pitching, casting. MB Destroyer X7 F5st-611X7 Bearing Down Type-X - ultimate T rig rod, they just don't have a clue about the solid tip and suck that bait in. The solid can be...

Re: Pixy vs alphas bfs reel

I'm not sure, I think the version 1, the shallower version? Karl? I have the version 2. I think version 1 was a bit deeper. To this day my favourite spool is the version 2 KTF nothing comes close so far. Mr. Sawamura hit a sweet spot with that Alphas. The kosugi works is a great all round finesse s...

Re: Curado 200e7 or sv103

I like to have all the same make/model reels, so when I change I have the same casting/ winding feeling/grip. I would just get another one of what you prefer. Also easier from maintenance point of view.

Re: Feed Your Enthusiast Soul : Conquest 842C MBR

I have a 10 year old MBR842 GLX, one of my favourite rods. I can fish it with 3/16oz jigheads + 3 inch shads, 1/2oz spinnerbaits, squarebills

Re: Are we destroying our Gear Sets by pulling out snag?

Never pull from the reel or rod, take the line pull it tight and then ping it like shooting an arrow, usually the lure jumps out of the snag.

The standard Alphas 5.8 is brass, the Alphas R is aluminum to my knowledge.

Re: Spinnerbait rod ?’s

I picked up a megabass orochi xx spinner bait special a few years back, and I have not felt the need to replace or upgrade to a new rod yet. For a spinner bait rod it also handles square bills and some other treble hook baits nicely. One more vote for the Spinnerbait Special, really happy with it. ...

Megabass Alphas Ito plastic

I have a friend who has the Alphas Ito and the clear plastic turned yellow. Any ideas how this can be cleaned?

Re: Reel Selection

1. Try not sell at all (always feel sorry). I had a rod that I sold and bought 3 times (the same rod) at the end I let it go  2. Consolidating ( try to use same brand/model or at least have two or three of each reel). One of my favorite platform is Alphas, don't ask me how many of them I have.....
