Re: Swimbait Rods

i second the low down custom rods i bought one last year and it is a excellent rod for swimbaits. the white label are his rods that are made and put on the site for sale. they run 320 ish but are well worth it. The white label rods are spiral wrapped and come in three models 7'9 med hvy , 8' hvy, an...

Re: Any 2020 Shimano reel leaks.....

i posted on bbc boards a while back about a question a guy asked about upcoming reels. i told him ( just assuming) that shimano would do a new metanium, and something in the 50-70 size range due to the curado 70 being discounted also. Dan replied and said there would not be a new 50 platform coming ...

Re: Jerkbait Rod/all around Rod

i really love the expride 6'10 medium for jerkbaits it does super well with them. I also like my st croix legend elite 7' m fast casting rods i have three of those and they get heavy jerkbait use as well. i usually throw 110+1s and deeper baits on the st croix legend elites.

Re: Z bone frog rod

i have owned both those z bone models and i personally would not throw frogs on the 4 power z bone the 7'6 mh reminded me of the nrx 893 somewhat which isnt a bad thing i just wouldnt use it for frogging. makes a great 3/8 oz ish texas rig and jig rod . the 7,3 h is another story that rod is a power...

Re: NRX 901 SJR Special Run

yeah i see all the pros use 4000 size reels. i tried it for a bit and could not get use to it because of the balance it gave the set ups threw me off might be ok on a 7'6 rod though.

Re: What are you cranking with?

ive got a few st croix legend glass rods with bantams and they have been great. these new legend glass rods are definitely more senstitive than your older glass rods. I use to despise using glass rods but really dont mind these at all. I have the 7'2 medium- dt 6 and smaller balsa type flat baits, 7...

Re: Sensitive Moving Bait Rods

i have thrown a lot of baits on sensitive rods that are reaction type baits such as crankbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs, and the like. a lot of it has to do with taper for me and the rods action. this last season i started using the st croix legend elite glass chatterbait rod for chatt...

Re: 2019 Z Bone vs. Conquest

The z bone 2019 in my hands depending on the rod model in this case the 4 power z bone mh vs conquest 903 for example sensitivity goes slightly to the z bone for me. Now that being said i like the conquest better. it just seems more solid on hook sets and i like the taper better on the conquest rods...

Re: GlX 843C MBR vs Kistler Zbone light medium heavy 7'

kistler just came out with a new helium i have one on order should be here next tuesday. its a 7' med hvy modified fast action. the rod is called the all rounder so should be pretty versatile in doing many things.

Re: Andy Montgomery/Daiwa

yeah i agree equipment is somewhat of an afterthought to an extent. If you look on bassmaster it will show the top bait segments of each tournament and usually shows the pros set ups for the baits and you rarely see any high end jdm tackle which is understandable at most because of the loop holes of...
