Re: Kistler He3 vs ALX Zolo

I own several of the Zolos and they are great rods. That being said, I have around 20 Kistler KLX and He3 rods and they see a lot more service than the Zolos. They have a lighter and crisper feel to them and are very sensitive (especially the He3s). I also have heard miscellaneous rumblings about t...

Re: Kistler He3 vs ALX Zolo

I have the 6'9" mh h3 and use it for spinnerbaits and love it you just have to let the fish eat the spinnerbait and not take it away from it to fast because it is sensitive and you don't have to hammer them on a hookset just let it load up and sweep like a crankbait. I had the deputy and loved ...

Re: Dobyns vs Megabass vs Shimano

I own the expride you mention and its a sweet versital stick. I have a few orochi xx and i would recommend the Diablo special type r. Its my favorite rod also very versatile. I had a dobyans dx 744 the older version and i did not care for it. It felt dead in my hands. The Kistler h3 7'3" h is o...

Re: What have you lost while fishing?

I lost a new chronarch e6 and tfo rod. I think i left it laying on the back deck before a rough ride across the potomac. Got to the next spot and she was gone. Sorry for your loss that stings for awhile especially if you had some of those hard to find baits

Re: First look at new Megabass Orochi XX rods

I got the braillist for a warranty on a broke flipping special. Ive used it a few times now and i am not blown away by it like i am for the fist gen. It has a good action and i love the taper. It keeps jig fish pinned. Its beautiful and well built. Its much softer and more moderate than i was expect...

Re: Shimano engetsu 100hg

Does the ci4 material flex much or does it feel as solid as the chronarch mgl? Im guessing it has aluminum gears? Is it the same size as a curado 70? Thanks
