Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Had a malfunctioning type-r and a zillion coastal. Boredom got the best of me so I franken reel'd the "blue tuxedo" as I like to call it. It's my main pompano jigging set up along side the Luna 253 e6x 903 and a new bg 3000 star rods seagis just to keep spinning gear covered for windy days. Love thi...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

My apologies for the picture dump... I've been absent from the forum for a good while... looking at all of your awesome gear had me spending way to much money :P http://i.imgur.com/6ZkwJUs.png http://i.imgur.com/hqRBmFw.png http://i.imgur.com/X7daLK9.png http://i.imgur.com/D0qzjk9.png http://i.imgur...

Re: The Rounders Heavy Metal Club

So I ended up going with the e6x 903mbr because I don't have to $$$ to replace the nrx 893c that was stolen from me and I can confidently say that I love the rod. It's perfect for bombing weighted soft plastics over the flats and still accurate enough to nail casts around bridge pilings, docks, mang...

Re: The Rounders Heavy Metal Club

After a productive kingfishing season with my old man I've re-discovered my love for round reels. Like many of us my journey with baitcasting gear began with round reels, a gifted to me abu something or other and shortly there after I bought my first ever reel with my own money, a Calcutta 250. I wa...

Re: Don't drop your Alphas SV spool

I' ve dropped a couple... and sv that didn't take so much damage that I couldn't straighten everything back out with some firm pressure from the thumb nail, and a rcs1016 which had to be scrapped... Drinking and tinkering don't always mix =/

Re: Daiwa Tatula Not Good in the Salt

Been using the tatulas since they came out exclusively in the salt and to be honest I am not the greatest at maintenance as a couple of them live in the jeep so I can fish whenever I get the chance and don't always get a bath. I haven't had a problem with any of them yet.... odd.

Re: Which one of your combos has the "IT" factor?

T3 with an SV spool and zillion type r handle/ Tatula medium regular action rod, jerkbait nirvana for me anyway. Throws even the little 80mm xrap easily. And a t3 on the nrx 893 which handles 90% of my soft plastic needs.

Jdm zillion

Thai street fishing shared a few picks of the new zillion available in Japan. Not sure if this has been posted yet.

Re: nrx 893c jwr

Should be a perfect fit for everything you're describing provided the cover isn't overly heavy. I pretty much use the same rod for the same things and it's marvelous. I have thrown spinner baits with it up to a half ounce and it did remarkably well. Hope this helps.

Re: cranking ank jerking with braid

I do it all the time with 10lb test on a spinning reel and never use a leader. Using braid means all the action you give the bait transfers to the bait and is not absorbed by the stretchiness of the line. This exactly. I'm experimenting with flouro at the moment but a part of me always feels like I...

Re: YOUR favorite jerkbait stick

Tatula 7' medium regular action... At the moment. been thinking of possibly using this rod for jerks...is there enough tip to work the bait efficiently? i'm always afraid of it being too soft Seems to be just right action wise to me. It's faster than my dobyns 706cb which it replaced. Could never g...
