Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?

Really...Apparently you didn't do your homework before you responded. The Lamiglass reference was way back when Dobyn's first started making rods.

Re: 2019 Steez CT SV and 2019 Alpha CT SV

I've read here on TT that reels with brass main gears tend to be a tad smoother than reels with aluminum gears, but the brass gears add weight. Has the Steez always used an aluminum main gear? If this is true, I'm assuming Daiwa does this to keep the weight down.

2019 Steez CT SV and 2019 Alpha CT SV

Does anyone know what type of gears (brass vs aluminum) are going to be in these new reels?

Dialing In a Curado DC

Need some advice/input on dialing in a new 151DC. I attempted to follow the instructions by allowing a little sideways play in the spool, but what a disaster. When I purchased the DC I thought it would be very similar to the Daiwa SV spools. So far there's no comparison. Any advice other than puttin...

Aldebaran MGL

I'm not sure when this reel was released, but I'm assuming it was sometime during 2018. Anyway, I just returned from the Sacramento ISE sport show. I asked the Shimano rep if he had a Aldebaran MGL that I could look at. He handed me a Aldbaran, but it didn't say MGL. He said it was the most recent m...

Need Help Identifying Stella and Exist Spinning Reels

As the subject states I need some assistance. I understand the different spool sizes, but the letters are confusing. I know that PE refers to braid and I'm sure others refer to the gear ratio. It appears that the JDM reels have a whole different lettering system like putting the letter "C" in front ...

Can someone that has had first hand experience please explain the difference(s) between the Steez Compile-x and the Steez AGS casting rods? Thanks in advance.

Re: What's next for Daiwa...

I've never been a huge fan of any of the Tatula's. Daiwa's older reels are my favorites. I think Daiwa should bring the Pixy back with a SV spool and also make it so that you can customize it with after market parts.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. I was kind of surprised that Japan Lure Shop is still selling this reel for $259.

Daiwa SV Difference

I need a little clarification. What's the difference between the original Daiwa SS SV and the Daiwa SV 103 (shown on the Japan Lure Shop) website. Sorry if this question has already been asked. I couldn't find any info.
