Ardent Outdoors sale?

I was just clicking around doing some research on reels last night and wound up on are Ardent Outdoors website. All the reels and rods seem to be half price. I have never owned an Ardent reel, but they seem to get good reviews. Anybody know the deal on why they are so cheap? Going out of business?

Re: New flip blank from point blank

Todd they do load smoothly but this year alone before I gave it away, my mh731 has lost over 35lbs worth of fish costing me 2 wins. What I found was for me the blank recovered much quicker than what I was wanting. I will say it does have a brunch of power. While swimming a jig this spring I was abl...

Re: Scrimless NFC

Those introductory prices are indeed nice. That being said, I'll wait for others to take the 1st plunge. It's all subjective, and while I find that HMs to be really nice blanks, I feel the Point Blank's are on another level. NFC is going to have to wow me in a big way. If I find a blank I want, and...

Re: Any info on abu Garcia Revo alx?

I love my ALX and have used it on the inshore flats and farm ponds and haven't had a problem. Thrown everything from 1/8 ounce Texas rigs to 1 ounce glide baits.

Re: First Look Inside the New Shimano Curado K Series Baitcasters

Does the thumb bar now sit a little lower? I liked my Chronarch CI4, but would occasionally trigger the thumb bar as I was jigging. In these pictures, it looks like the thumb bar is much more compact and in line with the frame of the reel, something that should prevent these misfires for me. Pic on...

Re: Worm hook

My standard worm hook is the Owner offset shank worm hooks, 2/0 for 7.5" and 3/0 for 10" worms. I bought a pack of 3/0 Zoneloc hooks to try and I have caught 7 bass on 9 hookups. I haven't fished with them enough yet to really form a good opinion, but the Owners have been a staple of mine for a long...

Re: Revo ALX help

The braking system was my only hold up on this reel. I found it on sale and bought it for $200 and I'm glad I did. I use it mainly for light Texas rigs and jigheads anywhere from 1/8 ounce to 3/8 ounce. I just haven't tried it with many lures yet as I love how the reel fits my hand when I am jigging...

Consider the Revo ALX. Metal frame, tiny size, under 6 oz weight. I've had mine for a couple of months and have been pleasantly surprised.

Re: North Fork Composites

I got my blank in today. The box it was shipped in was broke clean in two about a third of the way down, so my heart sank. Fortunately, the bubble wrap had done its job and the rod seems to be in fine shape. The blank looked straight and definitely felt like a top dollar blank in hand. It weighed 1...

Re: North Fork Composites

Ordered mine on April 12. Sent them a message on Facebook today and got an email this evening with a tracking number. I will never complain, especially with the price I paid for this rod ($111.61, shipped!), but it does pay to follow up with them apparently! Which blank did you get? I got the MB 66...
